If a press release comes out tomorrow and says a search committee will be formed, we're up blank creek! For sure!! They should take that cliche out of the press release dictionary.

A player who just graduated from A&T said this in my Twitter Spaces earlier tonight. “Players are heading to the portal because they ask for things…they are told they will get them…and it doesn’t show up…” It’s a similar sentiment that the band have said…and also some of the students as well… There might be a bigger issue folks… The issue is that like a family, kids want things that parents may not be able to afford or are not in the best interest of the family. These same kids came up with the slogan” make A&T ghetto again “ remember that 😂 Students want more on campus housing, how is A&T going to 💩 out more housing with no money. Maybe administration believes that isn’t the most important matter at that moment since we have housing for 5k students.

The only problem I have is that it should've happened on Sunday, November 13th - the day after we lost to G-W. We're moving to the Colonial. Players are free to transfer. The coaching staff is free to leave. I just saw an Aggie football team that could only beat bad teams and lose to good (not great) FCS teams. I saw an Aggie team that was notorious for amassing over 100 penalty yards per game....y'all already forgot how "Woodrow" had to check Coach Washington for this foolishness at the press conference? There is nothing about what I saw in 2022 that said we would be fine as we were heading into the Colonial. We need better coaches. We need better players. We need a better mindset. I had a feeling this would happen. And for the record....NO ONE IN THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT IS SAFE. If any person in it, from the AD down to the janitor who vacuums his office, doesn't feel he/she can hack it in the Colonial, turn in his/her resignation. We made the move....now it's time to MAKE THE MOVES necessary to be a legitimate Colonial conference program. That's easy to say when you are paying bottom barrel salaries and you don't have the resources or infrastructure to consistently attract FBS-caliber talent. Stating a need without providing a legitimate strategy to accomplish that need is just expressing a pipe dream. BT, I don't disagree with you. If we ain't successful with this move, the chancellor and AD (and anyone else who was intimately involved with this move) need to be removed. Remember, I WAS NOT A PROPONENT FOR MOVING TO THE BIG SOUTH OR COLONIAL. It's been done. I'm gonna support the move, but would have no problem calling for the removal of all involved if we're in the basement of all major sports in the CAA after 4-5 years.

Hopefully Earl is doing his research for MBB as well.

Relax, Aggie2039. You are trying to defend Earl by making some ridiculous argument about alumni giving, but there is no need in this situation. I was told this firing came straight from Chancellor Martin. Earl just delivered the news. Interesting information...I was thinking as much...at a minimum if Earl wanted to fire Washington Martin had to agree and "green lighted" the move. I wonder if Earl was OK with the move...if not, did he voice concerns? What this part of a long term plan...or just something Martin up just with? That doesn't see very Martin like, dude is a planner if nothing else.

I hate this but I can’t change it! The powers that be have clearly said we’re moving on. Ok. Powers that be, put your money where your mouth is. You say we need $25 million to be competitive. Increase our athletic budget by $5 to 6 million next year and commit to increasing it by the amount necessary in the second year to reach that goal of $25 million. You’ve held the coach(es) accountable. Now it’s time for you to be accountable.

We knew this was needed but, the dilemma is, they HAVE to get the next hire right. Period! The timing of this move is bad as far as recruiting but, with transfer portal in this day and age we can rebuild in a year or two with the right coach. Hell, the guy that won the CAA this season was at Howard a few years ago.

The funniest part of all this to me is , all the people that wanted him gone now are so concerned
Guess the bad strategy , undisputed players and lack of adjustments don't matter no more

Everybody is concerned because we fired our head coach without any official announcement from the university and one week before Early Signing Period. How do you expect people to act under those circumstances?

two words, "this sucks"! athletic department now in "turmoil". football coach out, basketball coach out, nationally acclaimed track coach "gone".
we were sitting on top of the world before all this happened. now, we look as "lost" as any hbcu in the country...

So, was Martin on Twitter, saw that Tuten hit the portal and called Hilton to fire Washington?
This is crazy
