I respect coach Oliver and hopes he kicks JSU to sleep this weekend ,but he was out of pocket for this statement, if in fact it's legit . I give this man a lot respect he could had kept this to him self. Why should he 😆 it's a recruiting ploy . Show the perspective recruits the dysfunction in your opponent's program . It's just business and used not only in the Athletic field but in Corporate America also 😆😂🤣 |

Where was all this Coach Washington love when people were asking for him to get fired all season? You should ask yourself the same question. I struggle to remember a lot of posts this season where you were signing his praises. |

Let’s put a little perspective on this: When we made the move to the CAA, our administration stated that it was premature! Our record was 7-4. We had a 7 game win streak. We played the schedule that we were given. Out of our 4 losses, two of those were expected, Duke and North Dakota State. The remaining two were 50/50 prospects at best. Why, because GW beat us last year and Central is a rivalry game where previous records don’t necessarily guarantee the winner of the next game. How do I know because there was a time when we, NCATAGGIES, did not beat NCCU for 11 years in a row. (Most of you on this board we’re not even born when this happened. I assure you that it did!). So yes, we should have beaten Central but we didn’t. It happens. And, it’s happened before. I don’t know why Coach Washington was fired. Maybe it was because of his record. Maybe not. Maybe it was because he was not the man to lead us into the new CAA era for whatever reason. If that is indeed the reason, the administration should say so. These are all valid points but, I think Coach Washington being the respectable and good man that he is, it is my opinion that there was an expectation that the team would take on the personality of the coach. So, all the things you list are true but, it was just hard to see beyond the undisciplined play and penalties from his teams. I'm almost certain if he didn't have a discipline issue on his team, he would still be the head coach. Also, we don't know what the Chancellor pays attention to besides the wins and losses. If he is attending the tailgates and at every turn you have a Neighborhood talking about the undisciplined penalties by the team, it becomes hard to ignore...not saying that happened but, you get the point. When A&T's Board of Trustees has to asks the Athletic Director to discuss what's being done about improving the disciple of the football team, it's a big deal! And actually, the discipline issue didn't start to diminish until our drunk uncle took the floor at the Coach's Press Conference. Coach Washington appeared to be content with flaws in the team's performance until he got heat for it... and then he'd make an effort to correct it. I'm sure that had an impact on the decision to let him go. Great coaches see team problems before others do and start working on fixing them. How many times in the Coach's Press Conference did you hear Coach Washington get asked about a team performance problem and not give a definitive answer about what he was doing to correct it? You can't expect to play at the highest level in the CAA when your Head Coach isn't sure how to resolve basic team performance issues. |

Yes we will have a team. That’s not the question. The question is what kind of team will we have. I can’t believe that a team with say 35 new transfer players will be a cohesive winning unit. Maybe, I’m wrong. nope, you're right. even coach prime took his lumps in his first season despite his add-ons... |

Black people have always had fear of the unknown 😆 it's not that they fear it . What they fear is it always stays the same and evolves 😆 Personally I think A&T can win in the CAA and it's not going to be the blood bath that some are reading into for all of our sports programs. |
