Does anyone know what the target attendance is for a MBB game at Corbett where fans and administrators would deem successful? When I say successful, I mean a high enough attendance or capacity percentage that people would say the Aggies are crazy about basketball. Selling out every home game can not be a realistic goal at this time. What is acceptable?

Selling out every home game can not be a realistic goal at this time. What is acceptable? I believe I found the answer to my on questions from a 2020 article which I believe is still relevant since Corbett capacity has not changed. If we want to go back to the glory days where A&T was recognized as a basketball school and the gym was rocking, we need to hire a great coach that can deliver lots of wins and a few championships. Not so difficult requirements.😉 Once we achieve the above goals, the fan home attendance needs to average around 4,000. This is 70% of Corbett capacity which I believe is 5,700 from the article. We need to stop pointing the fingers at the students, pep band, promotions (greeks, neighborhood, school kids, free food), etc. and place the blame in poor attendance solely on we don't have a good enough product to excite the fans. We need to upgrade our coaching staff and players to meet A&T basketball expectations. This might be a gradual growth, but we have to begin the process with the hiring of a good coach. No more excuses, since we had an entire season to look for one. Those other things are gimmicks or nice to have to make the experience that much fun or hyped. hbcugameday.com/2020/08/14/hbcu-mens-basketball-attendance-2019-2020/3/

The true fans/community/basketball junkie fans will always be there (unless they are priced out) . I think this is more about fostering a culture or regenerating a culture that has been forgotten by the student body . Growing up in Greensboro just a few blocks from A&T's campus on Banks st . The community and student body culture was all A&T , from the Band March through the community or the Football team Walking to War Memorial Stadium and even having student watching our community football game in Holland Bowl are on the blacktop behind Hayes Taylor YMCA playing basketball next to the towers. The culture was A&T was the place to be and be seen . That excitement on the campus has been lost and to a degree in the communities also . It's a lot deeper than just winning games . You must win the base and regenerate the Aggie Pride culture of excitement and excellence in our sporting events . Ditch the wine and cheese bring the old Aggie Pride Culture back, the Old Moore Gym the Old Corbett Culture. Reach out and let the students know that they are needed at the game to support their team and to continue to keep Colbertt as one of the most difficult and exciting Arenas to play watch a game and be seen in. .
