DEs McDaniels Harrell and Porcher DTs Kaba and Wallace ; Lbers Roberts King and Stuckey, CB MCNeill ( 4 of 9 out of state) are gone and 2 reserves Ofurie and Salahuddin; offense WRs Leslie and Berkhalter ; Wilson and Lee in the OL ; Tuten and Fowler , Goodwin & Arnold -Gaskin TEs Kimbrough FB ( 6 of 9 out of state) Lots of experience to replace on defense and at the skilled positions

That's pretty much the entire front 7 on defense.

Isn’t that a basic expectation? first of all, who says he's a "top notch" coach? he's never been a "head coach" before, so we won't know if he's a "top notch" coach until he has "at least" one full season under his belt as a head coach. secondly, i don't believe he's had enough time to plug all of the holes that has been left open by players who won't be returning. so i don't have the same expectations that you have and that's no knock on coach brown. just that filling the departures, hiring a staff, imposing a new team philosophy, imposing a new offensive/defensive system, and building a new team chemistry is a bit much to ask of a new coach who has never been a head coach before, imo...
