welp, i may as well take advantage of this garbage flosports subscription while i have it. i don't have to officiate any games tonight, so i get to watch an aggie basketball game "live" for a change. nonetheless, for those who remember, the lady aggies "almost" beat cincinnati last year. went to "double overtime" before falling 87-77 but we had opportunities to win that game outright.
as i recall, shareka and chanin went "crazy" on cincy last year, they both were virtually "unstoppable". i think shareka actually played her best game of the season against cincy last year. she was "on fire", knocked down 6 outta 11 three point attempts (55%) and finished with 22 points. our ladies played an "outstanding" game against cincy last year.
but this season will likely be different unless several of our players step it up big time tonight. nonetheless, hope the game is well attended. our ladies will need our support for this one...

Watch for Nylah Willis....she played well against UAPB. Hoping the Tucker returns tonight also.....she has been up and down this year as far as quality of play. I'm still a big Barcone and Clark fan also...

We may end up being a tough out in the CAA with this Women's squad. This was a really good half to me. Also, 33 is a huge load in the paint.

Cincy leads, 58-56, end of 3rd
Didn't realize Cincy is the 22nd ranked team in the nation
I love our fight tonight!

A&T leads 64-63, 5:42 left
Based on what I seen tonight, we will be alright in the CAA.

they say there's no such thing as a "moral victory" and i wouldn't quite call last night's game that, but i'm very "pleasantly" surprised by our ladies' performance last night. gave cincy everything they could handle and then some. i really wanted that "dub" last night, but i'm encouraged by our ladies' performance nonetheless.
overall we played "great" defense last night, though there were a few slip ups here and there as far as leaving shooters open. dorsey really stepped up last night, showed me that indeed she can handle the pg position and can score as well. and one of the council twins showed a lot of promise last night for the future as well.
funny how we can look rather lethargic in one game but look highly energetic in another. i think that's an example of how the motivation level of a team can change from game to game..
