Great that the team was able to beat UNCG for bragging rites this year. I will take the win. It looks from the stats like the main difference in the game was that we won the fastbreak points and turnover points 29-11 (18 point margin). We won the game by 17 points (73-56).

Tough man-to-man defense on their perimeter shooters, spot on free throw shooting and defensive rebounding by Johnson and Powell down in low, especially in the second half, won it down that last 10-minute stretch.

We win, 73-56! Happy to see some resemblance of team ball tonight....Woods shot the ball well! More than happy, we beat UNC-G for braggin rights of Greensboro for at least one year! Woods could have cost us the game with his selfish play . 6 of 18 is not shooting the ball well especially when players are open closer to the rim . The only thing that saved us was that UNCG was just as bad shooting the ball then we were. Yes the ball movement has improved but this 3 ball jacking needs to stop especially when you have time on the clock to set up a better shot . i really don't care "how" we won, just glad we won. "however", uncg is not a very good team this year based on what i saw. their overall talent level has taken a "hit". glad to see duncan have a good game, hope to see him continue to improve. great win over a cross town rival, but i'm still concerned about this team. we're definitely gonna have to find a presence in the paint, we looked very "under sized" in the paint. and we're still not executing a legit half court offense, that's gonna be a problem against more talented teams. but i was very surprised at the lack of talent uncg had. i suspect that there's been a drop off in uncg's talent when wes miller left. mike jones was very successful at radford, but i don't think he's bringing in the same level of talent as miller was. but hey, can't worry about that, that's uncg's problem. funny how the langley bruthas didn't look as good as they did last year. the video announcer stated that uncg was missing their leading scorer for some unknown reason, but we're missing 2 key players as well. so as far as i'm concerned, the missing players cancelled each other out...

Good game, good win! I caught it on replay.
The positive for me was defense and rebounding. I didn't look at the stats but it felt different. Coach used a good combination of man-to-man and zone while Powell's defense and rebounding continues to make a difference.

Duncan played very well and Horton is a much more mature player this year and was a key player in our defence. Kam Woods could cost us or win us games, but I think he is that sort of player. Our lack of height will hurt us, but if the team works on this swarming defence , then turnover points will be big in the upcoming games. Marcus works well in transition, so hopefully we can force turnovers to give him easy drives to the bucket. Overall an impressive performance last night. Aggie Pride.

On ball pressure that forced turnovers and free throw shooting made the difference last night and needs to be the formula moving forward, compensating for our lack of size.

Whatâs the attendance numbers? Itâs packed in there! When I was coming in the building last night, a busload of UNCG students were walking up the sidewalk. Not sure how many fans they brought but it appeared to be an organized effort.

Good win. If any year to beat UNCG it was this year. They are not as strong as they were in years past, but a win is a win.

Was at the game and great crowd and we played solid. Good thing is we can be better than this, and we could beat UNCG by 25 points. We get some offensive purpose going itâs going to be tough for opponents. Because that defense is stronger than last years.
As I was watching the replay the announcers who I think never seen club Corbett said âthe CAA has not seen the likes of this, college of Charleston has historically had the best crowd but this right here is on another levelâ
I pray we can figure out how to keep the students interested.

hbcugameday.com/2022/12/01/nc-at-pulls-away-from-crosstown-rival/GREENSBORO, NC â NC A&T has some gems in its gym. Sophomore point guard Kam Woods scored 18 of his game-high 23 points in the second half as the Aggies pulled away to a 73-56 win over crosstown rival UNC-Greensboro Wednesday evening before a raucous home crowd at Corbett Sports Center. It was the first win for the Aggies (4-4) in five years vs. their down-the-street rival and the first Div. I win of the season for NC A&T and interim head coach Phillip Shumpert.

Historically, the night home games against Central and UNCG have always been near sellouts. Especially when they happen before winter break.
The challenge will be how the students respond to a home game on a Saturday afternoon in February against Elon or Hampton.

CoC @ A&T will be played while the students are home for the holidays. Gboro residents will have to carry us to victory

Those two should be fine as long as they make sure the students know about the game. Greek Night should also be pretty packed. But that TV game against college of Charleston will be interesting. Itâs a TV game at 5 pm on Jan 4th. That one could be sparsely attended due to where it falls.
