What's one of the biggest differences between this game and those previous two? So you're saying beating NDSU who has won 9 out of the last 10 FCS championships and was ranked #1 at the time wouldn't be a big as playing for the big south title and winning?

This is just comical at this point The assistant director came out and admitted that they have the money in their budget to make the trip but they dont want to support the team in the stands if they aren't allowed to do a halftime show. That is not comical. That is sad.

What's one of the biggest differences between this game and those previous two? Besides being a championship game, they can't play a field show and can only play for about 20 minutes. At a cost of $40,000 and having to drop another $5000 for tickets, I can see why they said no. Also, this is gonna come up again if we gotta go to Elon next week. Basically, the team is gonna have to make this playoff run on their own unless we got some ballin Aggies willing to drop $100,000 on their travel budget. But if they could, wouldn't that cash be better spent on scholarships?

I don’t think folks will realize how important the band is…and most of those kids are doing it literally for the love of it…without adequate scholarship money…

Considering the band gives out minimal scholarships and doesn't have a recuiting budget , I think band competitions are very important to the BGMM. But I get it. Nothing else matters on Saturday but football. The marching band exists to play at football games, nothing more. If the band isn’t going to support football why even have one? That money can be used elsewhere… There are HBCUs without football teams with bigger bands than us…

This whole thing is embarrassing. This highlights the disconnects, silos, and egos at the school. Given that he’s talking about moving the money to the Spring says they no plans to even entertain any post season possibilities also. This explains a lot even looking at basketball season. Don’t expect the pep band either.
Sad day ‘for the culture’. The Chancellor created the wedge with his rhetoric and this is the band’s way of fighting back.

What can we expect when we don’t have many music majors in the first place? If anything, that department needs money and an enrollment boost to ultimately help pay for things like this. Also, Aggies need to learn to support football without the Band involved.

You guys are confusing the issue and making excuses They have the money to attend but are choosing not to because they can’t perform at halftime.
