do we have an official attendance count for last week's aggie/eagle game? Still has zero on our site. It should have been close to a sellout if not one. People were everywhere

And you are wrong for the 4th consecutive year. Go back and re read what you sent.. then highlight where you need a game ticket.

I know how this stuff is supposed to work, but I don't know what they are doing. And I have no idea why they are not even publishing any figure for the game.
OFFICIAL ATTENDANCE FIGURES includes: >Season tickets sold per game; >Complimentary season tickets issued (usually to sponsors); >Single-game tickets sold; >Complimentary single-game tickets issued; >Students admitted with valid IDs; >Band members and cheerleaders in uniform;
TURNSTILE COUNTS or SCAN COUNTS include: >Every ticketed person that comes through the turnstile whose ticket barcode is scanned or ticket stub is torn; >Every student admitted with a valid ID through a turnstile; >Every band member and cheerleader in uniform admitted through a turnstile;
Official Attendance figures are universally used for sporting events, but do not reflect how many people are at a sporting event. Unused tickets are included in this figure.
Turnstile/Scan Counts are rarely published, but the do reflect how many fans are in attendance at sporting events. The ticketholder has to be at the event to be included in this count.

That's the Aggie Livewires gig...and I was told that they aren't like they used to be... To be frank, most of these college kids don't follow college sports and aren't going to frequent sporting events unless there's some kind of big block party atmosphere going down on site. Nowadays, it's pretty much all about being cool, getting as many people as possible to follow you on Instagram or Tik Toc, and becoming an "influencer" on social media, whatever the hell that is. This current generation didn’t raise themselves, it honestly comes back to them not seeing HBCU athletics on the same level as the rest of D1. Anyone born & raised in the 90s or later saw HBCUs be the doormat and warmup game for their local flagship (who is also probably their favorite CFB program). We hardly saw HBCU guys go to the league and maybe one of them became a household name in the NFL (Air McNair). You can almost say the exact same thing about academics, HBCUs became a stepping stone to PWIs in sports and education. It’s changed slightly in recent years but there is still a long way to go before we see sold out HBCU stadiums on a weekly basis.

Let get a few thing straight about college sports in this modern era. The days of “packed” stadiums are over. Especially for the small non FBS schools. It’s a nice to have…but there are way too many options. Hell, I remember a day when the only way you could see NCAT football was to show up at the stadium or travel to an away game. Not anymore…you can catch every game, home or away from the palm of you hand if you wish.
Attendance is a non factor.

And you are wrong for the 4th consecutive year. Go back and re read what you sent.. then highlight where you need a game ticket. NC Central Athletics Tailgating Policy Our established tailgating areas are: - Alexander-Dunn Lot - Eagle Alley (Car & RV) - Lincoln Street Lot - McLean / Baynes Lot - Miller Morgan Lot - The Pit (Latham Surface Lot) - Tent City (Track / Practice Field) Tailgating is permitted directly in front of or behind your vehicle in your designated space and CANNOT impede the flow of traffic. Rules & Regulations All RV’s entering Eagle Alley must possess a game ticket and a decal. All other patrons entering the Eagle Alley Car/RV/Tent City areas must have at least a Lawn ticket. SC State Football Game Zone and Ticket Policy The SC State Athletics Department thanks you for your continued support. This football season, we will continue our Football Game Zone program. Please read the information below that will help you navigate. As you read, look at the accompanying map for clearer understanding of the Game Zone and The STATE Club Parking Guidelines. Anyone entering campus from Entrance 2 (Pinckney/Russell Streets) and Entrance 3 (Magnolia Street/Highway 601) will be charged $15.00 per vehicle to park on campus on game day. Valid Faculty-Staff-Student parking decals will be honored only at Gates 2 and 3 on game days (no charge). Gates 2 and 3 will open at 7:00 a.m. Fans entering campus from Entrance 1 (Buckley at Russell Streets), Entrance 4 (Buckley at Goff Avenue) or Entrance 5 (Chestnut Street/Highway 21 Bypass) will be required to have the valid reserved parking Hang Tag (pass) purchased in advance of game day in addition to a game ticket for each person in the vehicle. Pedestrians entering the GAME ZONE will be required to have a game ticket for entry into the area. Pedestrian entry points to the Game Zone include (on-campus) Geathers Street at Rowe Hall and Naylor Street at Mitchell Hall as well as Entrances 1, 4 and 5.

Question. Does our official attendance for the nccu game go in as zero on ncaa records? In the past, usually the NCAA would request the figure from the host institution before the end of the season. If it wasn't received in a timely manner, it would go down as a zero in their records. However, that was quite a long time ago. I'm not sure how they handle things like that nowadays.
>I don't know if any NCAA policy addresses whether the figure has to be made public. (All of our major pro sports leagues have uniform policies to publish attendance figures.)

Disappointed, but not surprised. Probably due more to the thunderstorms forecast. Y'all know how your people are...especially the women.

You have a point, but this is a game that we should not be trying to close out sales on gameday. Having been in the sports ticketing business since I finished 'Tee in '81, IMO, this is certainly one game that should be sold out by Monday or Tuesday of Game Week every single time that the game is played on either campus. We're only talking about around 21,500 seats on our campus.
With Winston-Salem State coming up next season, I'll be flabbergasted if we have tickets to sell on Game Week.
