In my estimation, at worse, between 7000 - 8000 on 11/26 IF we win next week and bid for a home game. Is that really a home field advantage? 7-8k in a 21500 seat stadium? We woukd have more of a home field advantage at Elon😂😂😂 I think we’ll get over 10K if we can host Elon. If we play at Elon, that joint will be at capacity because it only seats about 7,000. I’d rather see the guys play at home personally. But, I’m not a decision maker. Just a fan that’ll ride with the ship no matter what.

I think any home game in the playoffs is an advantage, probably so does FAMU. Do you think the CAA will get four teams in playoffs? I think FAMU gets in before ELON.

Elon is definitely in and FAMU will need to do some campaigning. Even at 9-2, FAMU will have one of the worse-10 strength of schedules and doesn’t have the benefit of a 1 score loss to JSU. Meanwhile, Elon beat a team that will likely win at least a piece of the CAA Football regular season title. We will soon experience the benefit of the doubt that comes from playing in the CAA compared to the Big South or MEAC. Perceived strength of schedule (over an extended period of time) matters to the Playoff Committee.

Famu's only losses came against a Power 5 team in week one and a top 10 FCS team in week two. Based on the precedent of them earning an at-large a season ago, that will be a tough resume for the committee to overlook.

I think the committee wants to have an HBCU team in the playoff. I think if A&T wins FAMU is out and if GW wins FAMU will go. I agree with Thrila about the losses especially with all the suspension early in the year.

You gotta take account of who they played in the SWAC and who those teams played. It’s gonna suck like hell to read this but conference affiliation and their perception matters to the committee for at-large bids. 9-2 in the SWAC may not be viewed as the same by the committee. There are way too many examples of 9-2 or even 10-1 teams from conferences outside the Big Sky, CAA, and MVFC that were left out for a 6-5 or 7-4 team from one of those three. I hope FAMU could get in but with 8 D1 wins and a weak SOS could prove faulty.

At 9-2, FAMU is in. Deion wouldn't let the NCAA hear the end of it otherwise.
Call me crazy but I believe we'd have more of a home-field advantage at Elon than at Truist. We'd most likely outnumber them in a smaller venue and the band pumping in their stadium... Oh man. The question is would we be matched up against them in the first round provided we can beat GW (which I'm not sold on in the first place)? Not bidding could backfire if we went elsewhere.
Another question is would it be better to bid or save the money for future use somewhere else? That's for the administration to decide.

Bands aren't part of the NCAA-Approved travel party for reimbursement. Only the required players' and staff's travel would be reimbursed for A&T. Plus, the school would have to pay for tickets for each band member and any official outside of the traveling party. Since it's Elon in this scenario, it's not a problem. But, what if we get shipped to Macon, Georgia, or Chattanooga, TN? The band ain't going and not many Aggies would be in attendance.

So you are telling your fanbase that we passed up the Celebration Bowl in order to compete in the FCS playoffs ... but we won't even bid on hosting a home game in the FCS playoffs because we can't afford it.
Is that really where we are right now?

Even if we bid, we could very well be outbid by another school in the region if we don't put our best foot forward. There are multiple possibilities for 1st Round opponents:
Elon Furman Davidson Richmond Mercer Chattanooga
I would kind of like to play Furman again.
Beat Gardner-Webb!

Is that really where we are right now? Our fan base not going to show up at Truist either😂🤷🏾♂️😂 Playing at Furman or Elon would be better than Aggie empty stadium. I don’t trust that 7k fans will show up

I'm sorry. I guess my definition of "compete" is different than other folks.
I thought the goal was to give yourself the best chance to win and advance. You do that by playing in your home stadium.
