I can’t think of any scenario going on the road to play is better than playing at home. Even if there is only 7,000 in attendance, the team is still at home. We need to do everything possible to ensure we don’t get bounced in the first round.

We now have 13,500 students enrolled; we should be able to at least have 7,000 show up and 7000 alumni and fans be present.

This is where the SGA and SUAB step in and buy student tickets and entice students to return early to campus. Most upperclassmen stay in apartments so food shouldn’t be an issue.

IF we make the playoffs and the first round game is close I wouldn’t bid. Let somebody else foot the bill and kick their a$$ on their own turf. Save that money for something down the stretch.

Hell we are always using Consultants . Why not Consult them 😆. But I can tell you first-hand, unless you have a Rabbit Fanbase ( I'm not talking about the students) but your Community , City , County , State and Tri-state Wide area . Your going to lose more then you gain and IF you're Lucky you might break even . That pay out money could used on grades that are desperately needed not waisted on satisfying a few individuals ego and vanity . My approach is this , If your team is a Championship Caliber team it doesn't matter if you're playing away or at home because all roads end in Frisco Texas on a neutral site field , exception being North Dakota State . Frisco is basically a second home field for them 😆🤣 . Why pay the NCAA when you can let the NCAA pay your expenses for you and win a ship on there tab , hell that's a no-brainer if you ask me .

That's just the thing, we wouldn't know where we're going until the Sunday after the final game. Bids have to be put in well before then.

Doesn’t change a thing. We go to their house and kick their a$$ at their place.
Provided we make it in the first place.

I think you bid and if you don’t get in you get your money back. I either read that somewhere or dreamt it. Might’ve dreamt it.

How do schools make a bid when they don’t know if they will make the playoffs? The top eight teams in the 24-team bracket for the championship are seeded and receive First Round . This may help Behind the scenes: How Weber State was selected to host an FCS Playoff game By Brandon Garside, Standard-Examiner Staff - | Nov 22, 2017 OGDEN — History will be made Saturday when Weber State hosts an FCS Playoff football game for the first time with Western Illinois coming to town. While an impressive 9-2 season — including a share of the Big Sky Championship — is reason enough to convince the selection committee to have a first-round contest at Stewart Stadium, the groundwork to make it a possibility started weeks ago in the WSU athletic department offices. Athletic director Jerry Bovee met with university president Charles Wight and vice president Norm Tarbox in late October to discuss the possibility of hosting a game and what that would require financially. According to Bovee, schools with hopes of hosting a playoff game have until roughly a week before the regular season ends to submit financial bids to the NCAA. When a program is selected to host, their cost of operation for the game is covered, but they are required to pay the NCAA their original bid, plus any extra money made as result of ticket sales. ""If the school makes less than their bid on game day, the school pays out of pocket to meet the original bid.""WOW Bovee would not disclose the bid amount he submitted to the NCAA, but said he worked closely with Wight and Tarbox to keep the figure reasonable for the school and compelling to the NCAA. “We’ve made minimum bids in the past not knowing where your fan base would be as far as embracing a Thanksgiving weekend game,” Bovee said. “But being the second year in a row (making the playoffs), and feeling there was momentum this year, it felt like it was time for us to put the bid in a more competitive place in the hopes that we would be able to recoup that from ticket sales from our local fan base.” Bid money from hosting schools is pooled to pay for traveling teams’ expenses, which the NCAA covers. In excess you're paying for a visiting School to come to your campus and possibly kick your a$$. THAT RIGHT THERE IS IRONIC IN ITSELF 😆🤣😂

Basically you can't bib until you're your institution is selected by the selection committee . Just like a regular bidding auction the highest bidder will win and the rest just go away. If I'm not mistaken bidding starts at 30 or 40K minimum and up from there.
