Forget about what they think, but I agree that we shouldn't be hungry for a game with JSU. For what? Nothing to gain and everything to loss financially and reputation wise. The game wont break any records as a Classic unless maybe if it's in Atlanta. A home and home wont really bring any opposing fans to make a ton more revenue than just playing someone like WSSU at home. We aint going to JSU to take a payday and vice versa. I just dont see the reason other than a few die hard football fans want to see the game. People wanna see Deone's press conference and what he has to say about us and then watch him patrol our sideline? I dont get it. We can play WSSU at home and make just as much money.

Back to Campbell. Hearing that Hajj-Malik Williams wanted to be an Aggie was tough to hear.

Back to Campbell. Hearing that Hajj-Malik Williams wanted to be an Aggie was tough to hear. Cant dwell on that, we pass on tons of kids who turn out to be great players. Part of the game.

I think a big key for both team is getting in situation with 2nd and less than 6. It can really open the play book. Folks around here this is for the Championship but there is a 3rd team in this race Gardner Webb who played well against Marshall and Liberty.

not suggesting that we try to be cute, just suggesting that we "must" be prepared to counter whatever they throw at us. don't wanna get caught "flat footed" and have no other options to turn to if business as usual doesn't work. sure, i wouldn't start the game passing the ball to tuten. but i sure as hail would have it available in my "back pocket" if i need it. that's what "being prepared" is all about. it doesn't necessarily mean you have to "immediately" go to alternative options, just be "prepared" if you have to find other options. for sure, my first play from scrimmage would not be the "very predictable" hand off to tuten. we seemingly do that to begin almost every offensive series. my first play would be a "fake" to tuten followed by just about "anything". it could be a pitch out to another rb or it could be a pass to a wr or it could be a qb keeper. oops, on second thought, scratch the idea of using a qb keeper as a first play option... Play action TE delayed releases. The TE maybe our secret weapon in this game considering we don't use him often . They can't stack the box if the tight end is working . I don't see Campbell stacking the box early I think they will see how there defensive line can handle our run game and add LB'S as needed . Campbell also likes that 3-5 look on there Defense the will line up in a 4-3 and the drop one and give you a 3-5 look . If Chico is given the green-light to check down to a running play when they go 3-5 the RB'S should have a field day . But I don’t think the OC will do that . excellent idea, this game may be the perfect opportunity to target our te for a change, particularly if their defense is susceptible to it. i just don't like the idea of being so doggone "predictable". no one would suspect that we'd target our te cuz we "never" do it. again, this is not about being cute. its about "being prepared" to turn to other options if necessary. that's called "making adjustments", something we're not very good at doing. we should "always" have a plan "b", a plan "c", and a plan "d"...

hbcugameday.com/2022/10/27/campbell-hopes-to-play-ghoe-homecoming-wrecker/When Campbell head coach Mike Minter takes his Camels to the self-proclaimed Greatest Homecoming on Earth (AKA GHOE), he has two missions. The first, obviously, is to defeat North Carolina A&T and claim no worse than a share of first place in the Big South Conference. The groundwork was laid with non-conference games against William & Mary and East Carolina, and then with Jackson State last week. “That game plan is to be able to play a William and Mary, play at ECU and play at Jackson State. That can’t help but make you better and get you prepared for trying to win the conference championship on the road at A&T,” says Minter, the former All-Pro defensive back with the Carolina Panthers. “Homecoming, and the history of what their record is on homecoming day. Man, that’s a lot. And so you have to go through the battles to be ready for the war that you’ve got to go into with A&T.”

We gone win Yall. Quit worrying and putting this team on a pedestal. JSU played average and beat em. They won't stop Tuten. We ain't gone lose 2 Homecomings in a row. Hilton pleez put JSU on our schedule asap, preferably next year to really see who has the best sports brand. BTW, SC State will win the CB again because of coaching. I want: 1. JSU - Deion 2. FAMU - Owe them from 2018 & 2019 3. SU - Owe them from 2003 (Vegas) 4. AAMU - Because of Connell 5. Alabama St - Owe them from the Heritage Bowl Let's go!
