Just got back from game
Game ball McDaniel #6 Def End who had not played this year due to (depends on who you ask). He was the difference maker.
Our secondary is still suspect it’s just less focus on secondary when QB has pressure on him and that affects his accuracy !

We beat a team we were suppose to beat. We improved with not getting a bunch of penalties. No player was thrown out of the game.
Whoop DA Doo. We should have slaughtered this team. The coaches uncertainty in play calling and who should be the QB killed our momentum on numerous occasions. Our soft play in the secondary has not improved from last year.
I am sorry yall. The Chancellor needs to clean house with this coaching staff at the end of the season. He needs to bring in competent personnel who can really coach and motivate our players to higher heights to win.
We have very good players who's talents are being waisted by sub par coaches. We are moving up to a more competitive league and we need coaches with experience on that level.
Hell, we struggled to beat a low grade BS team in Bryant. We don't need this unnecessary play next year against higher competition.
Damn, pay Washington off. It won't be the first time we have had to pay a coach off. "We got the damn money to do it".
By the way, Chancellor Martin should also clean house by releasing Hilton also. Make it a clean sweep.
Hire some new people that has zest and enthusiasm to motivate our kids and grow our athletic program to higher heights.
We need a damn change. The whole athletic department is in disarray whether you want to honestly admit or not.

After reading some of these comments about our ineptitude, I had to go back and read Aggie1’s column. He picked us to win by a touchdown and the spread was -5. Why does anyone think we should have blown this team out boggles the mind. They are a high powered offense averaging close to 30 pts a game. We held them to 13. I actually thought this was our trap game.
Once again Aggies, ALL WINS ARE GOOD WINS!!!

Did the B&GMM not show up at all tonight?? (…or just not on the field??) Was it just me who felt our linemen were tired or not motivated? Something is wrong! Selfish.

Well it wasn't pretty but very effective! And I credit Coach Washington for doing two things tonight...forcing the team to be more discipline and finally making the DBs play the receivers tighter in the latter part of the game. Okay that's my first attaboy for Coach Washington this season!

The kids that 85 percent are marching for free are selfish. Interesting Maybe it was a good decision. Because if those woodwind instruments get damned from moisture from the elements, who at a&t gonna pay for the repairs. Budget is already tight as is

They were a good team

I think it was a good win but, we can still play better. I want to see us play to our full potential.

I'm not gonna knock this victory one bit. I don't know about y'all, but when a non-HBCU FCS team with a pass-oriented offense plays us, it scares the hell out of me. Our defense got pressure on the QB! We got 4 INTs! I cannot remember the last time our team got 4 INTs in 1 game.
I love the way our O-line dominated the 4th qtr. Tuten was great again, but it was pleasing to see how our O-line took over in the 4th qtr. On any level of play, that's called big boy football.
Not many (there were a few) bonehead penalties... We dominated the time of possession...
This game won't go down in the annals of Aggie football as one of the prettiest games we played. However, we played the right brand/formula of football.
Let's face it. The Central loss left a lingering, bad taste in many of our mouths. Follow that with playing the best FCS team in the nation, followed by playing a legit FBS team in Duke, this year has been a recipe on how to elicit an Aggie mutiny.
I'm slowly getting back on board the Aggie ship. If we limit the penalties, play solid defense, remain run-oriented, and hit key passes when necessary, we have the talent to be dangerous. Our talent just has to be smart on the field. If so, we're gonna be a tough out. There were a lot of "if's" there, but a few weeks ago, I wasn't even expressing "if's" (ie. optimism for this football year).
We're getting better.
