Whoever is the closest to being correct when the season starts, will win a BDF prize pack or something. Here's my prediction:
1. Sweeney 2. Speight 3. Jones 4. Truesdale 5. Newby
* I am predicting that Moore and London will be redshirted and that Eddington will do something stupid to get kicked off the team again.

Since I havent seen Sweeney in person, I just have to go by the collective raving that folks have been doing here. Here's my list:
1. Eddington 2. Sweeney 3. Speight 4. Jones 5. Truesdale 6. Newby
(It kinda looks like Thrilla's list...go figure)

I am hoping Eddington does not do anything stupid, we can really use him. So here is my list.
1. Speight 2. Eddington 3. Sweeney 4. Moore(if he is not red shirted. I saw him play at Carver, he is for real.) 5. Truesdale( I think he will be a pleasant surprise this year. )
I was told by a coach that they may move the freshman( London ) to safety. Lets not forget about the kid that transfered from Mississippi State, he may well be in the mix.

When/how did Eddington get this sudden change of heart and what is his academic standing. Was he still going to class after he got suspended from the team. Are we sure that he will even be eligible next year?

Coach Patterson told me back in the spring that Eddington remained in school even though he was not officially on the team. He stated at that time that Eddington could still return to the team but he would not be on scholarship. Coach Patterson also stated that Eddington was a really good kid but was having some serious personal and family problems at the time of his release from the team.

If Speight is 100% healthy and running like he was in 2004, go with him.
I don’t think Eddington will be on the 2005 roster but what do I know. If he’s on the roster, I’ll take him at #2 until Speight screws up.
Don’t know about the others but Truesdale impressed me for a little bit.
Take the Georgia Tech transfer for fullback.

It's an accomplishment that this thread even exists with last year's problems. It's amazin that we HAVE a problem predicting the depth chart at rb. I like Bigboy and Sharpless' predictions...I think Speight's won the starter's position until somebody knocks 'em from it.

The word on Moose Johnson is that he is too passive as a lead blocker. Trey Green in your prototypical battering ram at that position. Plus there was another young fullback in spring camp who looked pretty good. Can't remember his name.

Did you all forget Metcalf?

Metcalf was moved to DB during spring camp. They needed more speed at the position

Metcalf actually looked pretty decent in the limited action he got at DB this spring. He breaks on the ball well and is surprisingly a very big hitter.

Man! I forgot all about Trey Green. The word is that trey will get a lot more carries this year. The coaches liked the way he ran the ball this spring. Man! the running game looks very good right now.

The running game will be only as good as the Offensive line. I have been told that IT did not look overly impressive in the spring. Johnson is the TE. Speight will be the starting TB unless he is not 100%. The RB from Caver is suppose to be fast ...Think cb we have got to get the athletes on the field. Is the Mississippi JUCO QB in school? What about the freshman kid from Richmond Co? If the fb is going to do more than block then Johnson is the man....the other FB in the spring game may have been Corrbett (ex guard) He is listed as 5'11" 260 or so. My first post on this site...
