Housing has been in "issue" even before I was a student. You all ways gonna have that vocal few that take things over the top. Social media just amplifies the issue and makes things seem bigger than they really are. Hell, when I was a student the dorms were crap, and upper classmen were trying to get off campus.

Social media has been a blessing and a curse in our lives. I get hit with so much "unimportant" and irrelevant stuff on a daily basis it's insane. After a while it just turns into noise. Kind of like junk email. These students thought the University was going to have "housing" them for 4 or 5 years.

The apartments are owned by A&T, and there are shuttles to campus. What's the big deal. We didn't have that.

Our expectations are subpar compared to theirs based upon the time we attended the school. As a freshman 32 years ago I thought Scott Hall was a grade A sheeet show, but I got used to it. I had some buddies that stayed in hotel rooms in the old Union because there was no freshman housing, and some other buddies that stayed in houses right across from campus the school quickly bought up to provide housing. We couldn't WAIT to move off campus. It was a badge of honor back then. Now I guess the dorms are so nice they wanna suck off the teat forever.
We're competing against PWCs for students and they expect PWC accommodations and treatment (whether they know what that actually entails or not).

Most colleges don’t guarantee housing after freshmen year.

Another student got on twitter saying A&T was one of the worst HBCU's (900+ likes on the tweet) Then got on YouTube and stated that school just isn't for him... |
