wca, if you don't understand the "willie lynch doctrine", then you don't understand "systemic racism" and why it still plays a major role in "your life" as well as mine and all african americans. if you don't understand the "willie lynch doctrine", then you don't understand why our people as a whole have not "advanced" educationally, you don't understand why there's a "wealth gap", you don't understand why there's "black on black crime", you don't understand why we have so many "broken homes", and you don't understand why we still have "ghettos". the so called "secret" to controlling slaves (willie lynch doctrine) formed the basis for the "jim crow laws". but you wouldn't understand that if you don't understand the "willie lynch doctrine" and that's exactly what the supporters of the "willie lynch doctrine" want from you which is "TOTAL IGNORANCE" of the "willie lynch doctrine". there's a reason why "reading" was once against the law for african americans, but you wouldn't understand why cuz you think the so called "willie lynch letter" is just "STUFF" that people put out to rationalize behaviors and that's exactly what they want you to believe. apparently you yourself have fallen prey to the "willie lynch doctrine" cuz it is based on imposing "IGNORANCE". that's how you control "slaves" as well as an entire race of people... Ehh... I am fully aware of the system issues that plague African Americans and the entire diaspora due to Colonialism and Chattel Slavery, along with items such as Apartheid in South Africa and Jim Crow here in the states. And despite these things, I was able to achieve many good things in life due to the upward mobility of a college degree from A&T and PWI I attended for my master's degree. I am fully aware of items such as the Monhiyan Report and how the information within the report was refuted by critics. The Black plight within America is a complex one and one with multiple answers and possible solutions. Yet, that doesn't take away from how multiple scholars suspect the Willie Lynch Letter is fake and was created as a way to spur a specific reaction from its readers. And moreover, I am not sure how this equates with how the NCAA may end up changing how FCS teams are able to divide scholarships for their teams and how that change could further hamper efforts to recruit the best talent and further widen the chasm between the "haves and have nots." dude, i’m not talking about what “you” nor i were able to achieve, nor most other a&t or hbcu graduates. as i stated previously, i’m talking about black people “as a whole”, not college grads. did you not read that in my post? if all of our people had college degrees, many of our lack of wealth problems would “disappear”. its understanding “why” enough of our people aren’t college educated that i’m addressing, not whether you or i are. so you’re totally missing the point. you keep harping on whether the letter is fake or not which is totally “IRRELEVANT”. that alone tells me you don’t know much about the doctrine and how it has been applied. and how did this (willie lynch doctrine) come up relative to this thread? well, one poster claimed the reason hbcu’s dont have as much money as pwc’s is because hbcu alums don’t donate as much as pwc alums. so the doctrine explains why that’s so which i was addressing. then you came along and claimed that the letter is fake which is totally “IRRELEVANT” to the point i was making. you say you’re aware of the “system issues” that plague our people but that only represents the “symptoms” of the problems. whereas the doctrine is the “root cause” of the problems. big difference between being aware of the “symptoms” versus understanding the “root cause”. problem solving 101 says you don’t solve problems by addressing the “symptoms”. instead, you solve problems by addressing the “root cause” of the symptoms which in this case is the “willie lynch doctrine” that you appear to think is a “myth”. again, if you don’t understand the doctrine, then you don’t understand “why” systemic racism works and is still working to this very day...

It doesn't matter is the Letter/ Doctrine or if it's a Myth or whatever you want to call or classify it. It has relevant talking points that exist today in the Black neighborhoods/communities and our culture . It's not the first Myth ,Letter/Doctrine or BOOK that has made its WORDS RELEVANT in Black COMMUNITIES & CULTURE . So it doesn't matter if Willie Lynch the man , author was real or a Myth . What we do known the letter is real . So you both are Right if it's that important. SMIB Respect.

I hear u. I also know plenty of A&T grads who are doing very well financially and refuse to donate to athletics or their department because of issues that had while in undergrad. Is 30 to 40 percent high yes. But 8 percent is bad imo Same here, I personally know multiple grads making $200K that aren’t donating 🤷🏾♂️ I sent the link to the 18.91 campaign and they still aren’t donating 😕 Got two more to donate today!

If this does happen, it's going to hurt all scholarship equivalency sports regarding cost containment. misleading title..... The expansion of scholarships would be a historic move, but it would not impact sports such as football and basketball, known as “head count” sports. They offer full scholarships to a roster of players: 85 in football and 15 in basketball. The concept pertains to sports offering partial scholarships, known as “equivalency” sports, such as baseball, hockey, track and field, and swimming. For example, the NCAA maximum scholarships allowed in baseball is 11.7 for a roster of 35—a figure often criticized by high-level baseball-playing schools from rich conferences that want to spend more. Under the transformation’s plan, a school could conceivably offer 35 full scholarships in the sport. Several athletic administrators and college sports insiders discussed the Transfer Committee’s concepts under the condition of anonymity. They include (1) eliminating scholarship caps on sports that offer only partial scholarships;

Only on BDV can somebody turn a thread asking whether FCS scholly limits are going away into a dissertation about a non-existent doctrine. Lol After rereading this thread I will take responsibility. Apparently me talking about donating more to help cover this potential scholarship opening brought up all these other conversations. My bad
