If this does happen, it's going to hurt all scholarship equivalency sports regarding cost containment.

Yeah…and they will take a carving knife to FCS. If the CAA Football Conference has the opportunity to move up to FBS as a conference, which might be part of the strategy that Martin, and Hilton have in mind, should we latch on and move up, too??
We have all known that something was going to happen this summer, but they probably had an inside look at the depths of what was going to happen and this might be why we moved to the CAA in the first place.

If this happens it will all come down to proper scholarship money management . As far as latching on , if they move as a conference why not take the ride But if they move with Financial stipulations for each program Martin and Hilton may what to rethink A&T's affiliation with the conference . Financially we are already at the bottom of the totem pole .

HBCUs are losing in the money game because we as alums don't give back. Definitely need to get our giving rate up to 30 to 40 percent. Last number I saw we were at 8 percent and T actually had one of the highest percentages

Also Vanderbilt has never had aspirations to be a football power . Vanderbilt is the Howard of the SEC . You are correct A&T can be effective with a smaller budget as has Vanderbilt , with proper financial management practices and priority placement techniques with in our Athletic and Facilities Department . Because I believe that Talent and the coaching of that Talent is what wins games but don't get it twisted $$$ makes a difference and they both are connected at the hip . With the difference for me being dose A&T want to be a football power or be like Vanderbilt. I pick Vanderbilt and feel that A&T should follow there model.

The Willie Lynch Letter and The Making of A Slave is a speech delivered by Willie Lynch to an audience on the bank of the James River in Virginia in 1712 regarding control of slaves within the colony. The speaker, William Lynch, is said to have been a slave owner in the West Indies, and was summoned to Virginia in 1712; in part due to several slave revolts in the area prior to his visit, and more so because of his reputation of being an authoritarian and strict slave master. The Willie Lynch Letter is an account of a short speech given by Willie Lynch, in which he tells other slave owners that he has discovered the "secret" to controlling enslaved Africans by setting them against one another.

The avg alumni donation rate is 10 percent at the 105 HBCUs nahshonalexander.medium.com/the-value-of-the-black-dollar-520cb2d970 won't make a difference whether hbcu alums donated more or not. there's far more pwc alums than there are hbcu alums and pwc alums make substantially "more money" than hbcu alums and pwc alums own far more businesses than hbcu alums and pwc alums' businesses make far more "revenue" than hbcu alum businesses. so even if hbcu alums donated at the same level as pwc alums, it still wouldn't make a substantial difference. you're asking hbcu alums to sacrifice a much larger percentage of their income for donations than pwc alums since pwc alums make a lot more more money than hbcu alums. the average household income of a black college graduate is roughly $68,000, but that's about $25,000 "less" than white college graduates who make roughly $93,000. $68,000 compared to $93,000? plus, they "outnumber" us? and don't even get me started on the disparity of income and "quantity" between black owned businesses compared to white owned businesses, its even worse...
