A year ago, senior North Carolina A&T men's track field jumper Brandon Hicklin finished the season as the fourth-best outdoor long jumper in America. As of today, he is No. 1. Hicklin jumped a personal-best 26-feet, 10-inches on Friday during the first day of the Aggie Classic at A&T's Marcus T. Johnson Track. It is the No. 1 jump in the country as the weekend begins. He came into the weekend ranked 16th nationally but jumped more than a foot better on Friday to leapfrog 15 spots. Disappointed in the attendance Saturday. Our track team is one of the best in the country but they don't get the support and love they deserve.
Enjoyed seeing Coach Roy "Spaceman" Thompson's former track athletes in attendance and showing him love for all he did for them while they were student athletes.
Coach Thompson coached 30 years at T and
helped lay the foundation for our presently successful track program.

Might have been better had they advertised that it was going to be Senior Day, Kayla & Sturgis were gonna be competing, the Spaceman recognition, etc. were gonna be done. |

Little or no marketing and promotion those aspects of the meet. Both 100M finals were epic.
