Coaches are making Moves they have no interest in going to CAA I really believe it something to do with it.Hilton needs to find CAA money to pay Coaches and Staff on CAA Level but I forget the Juice is not Worth the Squeeze. I REALLY believe Aggie Sports have Written a Check we cant Cash by going to CAA. I don’t understand why we keep saying this. There are several teams in the CAA who have less endowments than us and less operating budgets than us. Over half we have more revenue. We didn’t have to spend in our other conference because we won without it. Just because we haven’t doesn’t mean we can’t or will. In the grand scheme of things if you added 30k to 50k to the current salaries of the 3 we lost that’s a measley additional 150k .. not even a budget line item. Again the chancellor would not make such a move if we couldn’t afford it and we lose our brand. This seems more like an opportunity than anything else. I’m just concerned can we get the quality we are looking for at this juncture

People are so jaded around here, they’ll never give the Athletics Admin any credit, leeway, or hope things will change or improve.
It’s unfortunate because things are moving in the right direction.

For football specifically, tell me how. Our program is similar to the Denver Broncos this year. - Started out with some hope but with a 'serviceable QB. - Head Coach had been a successful Defensive coordinator for all of his career - Head coach struggled this year getting the offense going even with a stable of receivers - Struggled this year with 7-10 record - Sited a need for better QB play - Coach had one year remaining on his deal after three years as coach Their response: - Fired their coach right after the season ended - Got the Offensive Coordinator from the Packers as their new head coach - Traded for Russell Wilson

It is very unfortunate but people are still upset about the conference move and thus use and any news item to make the decision makers look bad. On top the emergence of JSU has really upset those same people because JSU has replaced us as the most talked about HBCU. The envy and anger will subdue in 3 to 5 years. But short term it's gonna get A LOT worse

For football specifically, tell me how. We’ve won plenty of games since 2011. Coaching staffs don’t stay together forever. We’ve won under Broadway and won under Washington despite all of the complaints. Periods of transition are needed as it will prepare us for the next level of success to achieve. Trust when I say we need to trust the process. The CAA move is going through unlock doors for us the Big South or MEAC could never do. And that’s all I got to say about this.

You didn't answer the question. You're talking in big generalities about the athletic department and the CAA. I'm talking about FOOTBALL NEXT YEAR. Did you forget we play NDSU? I'm looking for hope here. Help a brother out. Right after the season my confidence level was a 3. Tell me why it shouldn't drop.

I also share your view that the Admin has a proven track record when it comes to leading A&T in the right direction...I get that. All I'm saying is they can not continue to communicate with there fans, Alumni, and friends the way they have in the past. We must be treated as stakeholders. You can't ask for my "blind" support, I'm more likely open my wallet when I know the heck is going on. I know most Aggies don't know, or even care about the things that drive us around here crazy...but they should throw us a bone. I have no idea what the admin is planning...how they propose to change the coaching structure and expectations. I just know we can't do things the way we have in the past.

It’s not the admin job to tell how they plan to change the coaching structure…what are they going to say? This is coach Washington last year and we are going to bring in a better coach? Good coaches leave all the time, Alabama has lost how many assistant coaches? I am glad these guys are moving on, if no one wants your assistants that means they aren’t good. If Gibbs wants to be a HC he needed to leave, who would hire a career RB for a Div1 program? He couldn’t even get the job at WSSU, he had nothing in his resume. Coard needed to leave too, Washington was like a helicopter parent. If they want to be HC they had to leave. Why give coard more money when our defense had more holes than Swiss cheese, you reward stellar performance not subpar🤷🏾♂️

Time for another Inside the Valley Podcast methinks. Yep. What's taking them so long. They should just be able to push a button and it happen. Let's go Thrilla, Aggie One and DB (don't know your BDV name)! I got to go to bed soon.
