wow, based on these photos, the meac indoor track facility is much better than the bsc indoor track facility... JDL is a top notch facility. It's just flat. Some people hate flat indoor tracks due to not being able to run the curve properly. it has a very "low ceiling" and the seating for fans are horrible "portable" aluminum bleachers. the prince george's sports and learning indoor track complex is much better, it is specifically designed to accommodate several thousand of fans in attendance and based on the pictures, it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more "spacious" as well. plus, the prince george's sports and learning indoor track complex has "another" indoor track in the building (including an "advanced" 2 level weight room/fitness center) for the athletes to warm up and stretch. also, the prince george's sports and learning indoor track complex has an "abundance" of comfortable seating for both fans and all of the track teams. its a thing of "beauty" to see each college track team sitting in their designated sections in the stands, easy to see where each team is sitting and what school they represent. the facility also has a full blown "olympic sized" swimming pool with fan seating for swimming competition and it also has a full blown "gymnastics" facility with fan seating for gymnastics competition...

The gymnastics fan seating is atrocious.
But I thought this thread was about the 2022 indoor track and field photos anyways. The amenities of another facility that don't even have to do with track, shrug.
But out of curiosity, anybody know how the athletes feel about the facilities. I don't even think I'd be going out on a limb saying I assume they'd prefer PG.
Also, where does the CAA hold their championships?

pg is a "sports complex", not just an indoor track facility. given that it is located in a predominantly black neighborhood, having a "top notch" gymnastics facility "period" is a wonderful thing for our community.
and btw, a lot of white folks pay to rent the gymnastics facility and they've never complained about the seating, otherwise they wouldn't keep coming back every year...

I don't even think I'd be going out on a limb saying I assume they'd prefer PG. Also, where does the CAA hold their championships? Depends on who you ask. JDL(in the photos) in Winston is a very fast track. If I'm a 55/60 guy or a field event guy I love it because its fast and I dont give a damn about the flat curve because I never run it. If I'm a distance runner I don't want to be running on the flat curve 12 times in one race without being able to lean properly. But then again, some dont care because guess what, ALL outdoor curves are flat. As an athlete, they prefer fast tracks and dont give a damn what the views for the fans look like. If its not raise and sloped some athletes don't prefer it, but I've never once heard an athlete say JDL in Winston sucks. Same for coaches. Oleschool likes his seat comfortable and to not be crowded, LOL.

Considering I watch my daughter compete in meets there time and again I wouldn't consider oleschool an expert on its merits as a gymnastics facility. It's big, but there's exactly two rows of tight seating and one small row to squeeze inbetween. Whoopee. But I will consider oleschool an expert on its merits as a track facility.
Too bad we don't compete there any more.
How'd you like the pictures otherwise?

Welp, here's a chance for our kids, and school, to get some direct exposure in the Boston area.
