I’m so close to writing a strongly worded letter. LOL. Wasn’t a fan of moving to the Big South. I freely acknowledge that the Colonial is a “better” conference. Yet, I have no interest in being affiliated with them. I can feel myself growing more and more apathetic about A&T athletics. We are not ready for this move. Some of our sports (track teams) can compete with anyone. I could be totally wrong but we will need a lot of upgrades to facilities and so forth. I know we would stay in the Big South for the 2022 football season. I want to hear what people think about us moving to the CAA. Or should we stay and be more competitive in the Big South?

The main thing that made the BS doable for me was games being closer and being away from what was becoming a dumpster fire caused by MEAC leadership. Another thing that kept me going was the perceived “FBS pipeline” from the conference. I honestly think a CAA move will kill fan enthusiasm.

It's imperative that A&T wins and wins quickly in Football and Men's Basketball. I think we'll have an easier time doing it in basketball but Koach Jones needs the recruiting support financially, ASAP. For football, thank goodness we can allow for out-of-state athletes to receive in-state tuition and get us up to 63 scholly equivalents.

Not with the current staff. It’s just not. They would need to basically clean house in that area to compete. But yes they would also need an even bigger jump than recent in terms of recruits to compete in CAA hoops.

The price of a brick just went up and we gotta pay it.

Only volleyball, track, and (kinda) WBB have proven to be. They gonna have to shake some things up if this ends up being the move. We would be comfortably at the bottom of the CAA right now with this staff.

I’m in total support with one caution. Someone mentioned it. Apathy. The A&T base is spoiled and Aggie Arrogance is real. I don’t know if our fan base can handle the seasons it would take to make it to post season - with apathy there is less people in the stands and less donations to be made. There is a correlation of the upward trend in donations - the path to selling out homecoming a month before the game.. all of that happened because of winning.
This is it be best move - long term .. I just hope that our base brand etc survives the transformation. This year was not good. And it’s not because of talent .. there is not a team in basketball or football that we could not beat. It’s the programs .. their not tight .. they seem chaotic .. this happens that happens this persons out that persons has personal problems .. I mean it’s one thing after another.. we going have to get it together .. or it’s going to be a tough 5 years

I know you all not going to like what I am going to say. I don't think Washington is fit to get us to dominate this conf. Not only we need a different type athlete but I am not sure our coaching staff is good enough not to mention facilities. i wish we could hire broadway and let washington be our defense C.

That sucks I wonder if we can get a cost analysis on this and does exclusive mean there is no chance for ESPN or nationally televised games … that would be very troublesome to me..

On the football side of things, do we have the budget to compete with the top schools in the CAA? And what happen to the whole more on campus time for the students/less travel cost? No. Hilton said his timetable was six years from now, but they came to us. He thought that the opportunity could not be passed up. The interesting piece is they invited us back in November. And that it stayed quiet till like last 3 weeks

I saw this article and my question is what does “exclusive” mean. To me it means that there will be no ESPNU games or anything like that. Maybe I’m missing something.
