Let me get this right , dumping ESPN & ESPN+ for Flo Sports 😆 it was fun while it lasted . Leadership 😆 Hopefully when we joined in Football in 2023 a New Streaming Service IS available "CAA SPORTS" but FLOSPORTS LAST YEAR in BIGSOUTH for Football for 22 I'm not paying for CAA Sports Channels either 😆 I get D1 FBS/FCS -D2-3 & NAIA ON ESPN/ ESPN PLUS are you kidding me 😆 It's not like the CAA is a P5 conference I get all of them to 😆 paying for just an FCS conference is Ludacris train of thought in my opinion . Yes I would love to see A&T play weekend and out but I'm a Football lover first and any team will do for me when it comes down to spending my $$$$ , and I'm not spending on Flo Sports., Oh Hell No .

“We are just as strong and competitive as we were before, and I think that for us to continue to hold the legacy, the culture that we have … we can still give our fans the competitive great games that we’ve always given without feeling like we have to assimilate to predominantly white conferences.” -Meac Comish Lol she told us😂 Then...do it. Instead of looking for mic drop moments in every public address. The whole HBCU landscape is waiting, and would welcome that growth. She has a right to feel how she feels but that was just petty and totally unprofessional.

To be fair, that was two separate quotes at different times. That wasn’t in direct response to our move to the CAA. That is a BS article…undefeated should have a strong conversation with the writer. He’s in Crosby Hall. Perhaps he knew of the MEAC offer and us declining, which could’ve influenced the quote’s use. #JOMC

What unprofessional about it , is it just she maybe Right 😆 As a ceo she has to learn not to allow emotions to control her in making public statements. Was her statement helpful, was it necessary, will it inspire change? More importantly in this environment of rapidly changing affiliations why risk burning a bridge? How will any prospective members view such a statement? It was totally unprofessional and classless. Hopefully she'll receive a swift rebuke from the Council of CEO's.

The Commissioner of MEAC just letting off steam its like death in a Family you are Hurt but the move to PWI Conference has the feel of Integration. WE LOST ARE Schools Lost Neighborhoods,Business and lots of Culture events and in return what did we gain High School Crime and Fights on the rise lost Black Business and Pride mostly gone Neighbors that once Black have been taken over by White Folks. We are the only race of people that gives our best to others for what to gain a few Dollars to sit on Bus with Johnny and Susan to have a few good Books that are not torn out or Have the N word in it also ask this question would a William and Mary or Richmond move to a powerful Black Conference the answer is Hell No I just think the move to CAA Chips away from HBCU Legacy more and more you can dress up a Pig but will always be a PIG.

I honestly think the goal is to ultimately have elite hbcu schools make a D1 conference that is competitive mid major to power 5. Just like we did 50 years ago and that experiment worked. HBCUS reached incredible heights and recognition. - But things have vastly changed. NIL changed the game. We might not be able to out do power 5 schools yet, but we will crush New Hampshire and Stony Brook. Our audience is wider at our school than theirs. Period. We have another opportunity at our generation to move to another level. These people making money moves. We are not the only ones having this conversation. Ultimately we are stronger together / I will always believe that. However we have to plow through paths that are there that are available that before was not available. We will widen that path for our fellow hbcus. In 20 years I see R1 HBCU university is not rare. 56k people in the stands is not rare. I also see a HBCU conference that not only competes in viewership and ratings but with talent on and off the field. It’s the trajectory. But it’s a process. Im going to make a bigger commitment just like the ones before me did when we moved to D1, and our Alumni built a 21k seat stadium and Corbett .. we have to do the same thing. It’s our turn.

The thing about emotions it all in a individuals perception . Some agree and some do not and some don't care either way. Bottom line it's only and opinion and even body has one . As much as I hate the Big S***it I do not feel that A&T or any HBCU that moves to a White conference has not lost their Identity or shouldn't loose their Identity among fellow HBCU's. But with that being said, at this level I do find it interesting that a HBCU conference has to go all the way to Chicago to find a PWI that is willing to join a predominantly HBCU conference. Especially with the concerns of travel and missed class time .

You do know A&T can be a Carnegie R1 rated Institution without being affiliated with a white conference right .

It appears he’s the type that sees something that concerns him and decides to take action. For whatever reason the grass at the field ain’t concerned him yet 😂. But he was concerned about our standing amongst ALL universities and he wanted to improve it across the board. As much as I despise the term Aggie arrogance, he’s got it. The audacity to think we can be a meme er of the CAA and actually follow through on it. The audacity to think we can be an R1 institution. The audacity to believe we can be on the level of Carolina and State in athletics and academics. As far as A&T being R1 without being in a pwc, I posted somewhere we could be in the CIAA and be R1 seeing as how Wayne State in Detroit is d-2 and R1. If we’re not interested in that route then I don’t see an issue with moving to the CAA if the administration sees advantages in it.

Robert Morris would be a prime candidate for MEAC football membership. A celebration bowl featuring Jackson state and Robert Morris doesn’t fit the overall intent of the game.
