As we were sitting when I was talking about it being reasonable that HBCU players don't get drafted, we've been "sit" corrected (not stand) concerning the number of football playing schools at the different levels. I understand, from the person, that there are a lot fewer FBS football playing schools than what we said. I asked him to come on the next show and get us straight!
That said, I STILL believe it's reasonable that few, if any, HBCU players get drafted because the FBS players take up so many. And it's not just HBCUs. It's ALL the levels/schools that aren't in FBS.
That don't mean we shouldn't strive to and can't get our players drafted because there are quite a few reasons why they decide to play for us at our level: - Injury prevented them from going FBS. I think this was part of Darryl Johnson's issue. Though he was a skinny kid as a freshman. - Some just want to go to an HBCU - Their measurables (height, weight, etc.) don't fit the "mold". See Tarik Cohen - Etc.
Once/If we move to FBS we'll get more draftable players. Let's go!

Thoroughly enjoyed your interview with John Davis. That's the kind of depth that allows us to be even more connected to and invested in the program and the kind of kids we produce at A&T! For some reason, listening to him was just a proud moment for me, not to mention the insight into the Legacy Bowl preparation.

For real, for real...I thought that it could not get any better than when Hooker was on the show. I can't speak for anyone else but I think John Davis needs to be a special correspondent that appears on the show on a semi-frequent basis. His quick assessment of the guys in New Orleans let me know that is very knowledgeable about the game and his insights about Aggie football would be beneficial to hear from time to time. Just my two cents...thoroughly enjoyed hearing about his journey to Aggieland and his experiences on and off of the field.

See Tarik Cohen - Etc. Once/If we move to FBS we'll get more draftable players. Let's go! Moving to FBS will not change anything it's the competition level that gets a player/players noticed . People get all upset about playing money games / beat down or what ever you want to call them but those are the games that get players noticed and opens the door to being drafted. Hargreaves and Leonard South Carolina state made their bones against Clemson , the same can be said for Mc , The Kid and a number of other Aggie players that made it to the show. The NFL already know what a player can do at the FCS level . They want to see how players preform against upper level competition outside of their competition level comfort zone . I'm not saying to go out and pack you schedule with a bunch of BCS teams but the higher the level of competition a player/players preform against and standout the better there draft chances are . Martin got noticed in that Duke game and I'm willing to bet that he will get a shot at the show drafted or not . But he has to show up when he is Called drafted or Free Agent .
