Are the original files larger?
It appears that you are just posting the thumbnails.

Are the original files larger? It appears that you are just posting the thumbnails. Correct. When I post them, they say THUMBNAILS. I was about to try something that I just found online about enlarging the original photos. I will post it in a minute. it's a photo of 1949 Ayantee MBB coach Joe Echols.

^^^ Hmmm...it's slightly better. When I originally tried to post it, the image was too small and didn't post at all.

(It was nothing that I fixed, I know that! LOL)

Somebody really needs to set the record straight about this because there are all kind of different histories floating out there about this: www.jbhe.com/2021/05/the-rise-collapse-and-legacy-hbcu-football-and-the-nfl-draft/The article in the above link says this: We need to do a better job of controlling the narrative and promoting the legacy of our programs and institution. Thanks so much for this thread AggieRattler. Some really cool photos here.

I agree with you that we need to do a better job of both controlling the narrative and promoting our legacy! That's why I have such a hard time understanding why we don't do those things with all of this technology at hand.
I'm a full-blooded Aggie living in Tallahassee and, truth be told, four of the best HBCUs at promoting their sports legacies are Grambling State, Tennessee State, FAMU and WSSU. FAMU does a good job because they tell it (orally), they write it down and they archive it. I don't know if we do any of those three things well right now.
I'm 64 years old and I have had a great view of some of our history. I have saved a lot of items over the years and I want to have a place to share it and pass our history on to those coming behind us.
My dream is to create a place where we can archive our history before it's lost to the ages. Sooooo many people are passing nowadays (Tom Bynum, Ken Free, Gene Littles and Don Corbett, to name just 4) and they have taken valuable stories, thoughts and memories with them. We have no taped interviews and few documents and photos saved away.
We've got to do better, and this is a small way to do that and pass it on to you young Aggies.
Concerning Robert "Stonewall" Jackson, I honestly don't know what the real story is...yet. I'm working on it.
