I won't bore you with details, but according to the end of season rating, the BGMM is the l0th best HBCU marching band in the nation. I've accepted our top ratings in the past but this rating has the smell of...y'all ain't no HBCU band no more! Did being in the Big South Conference screw us?

What were the metrics used to rank each band?
You guys should really create a scoring system for halftime performances. If they can figure out a way to score a gymnastic or figure skating performance, you should be able to objectively score a halftime show.

The conference affiliation probably did have some bearing on the ranking but, the BGMM had one it's best seasons this year. That's unfortunate....

Well,
(3) Weeks the B&GMM Halftime performances were rated #1 for the Week, and I don't believe any Band was ranked #1 at least 3 times!

The conference affiliation probably did have some bearing on the ranking probably did, but i agree that the bgmm had an outstanding season and doesn't deserve to be ranked so low...

The conference affiliation probably did have some bearing on the ranking but, the BGMM had one it's best seasons this year. That's unfortunate.... The BGMM performance in Houston was classic. And that "Coming Home" show at halftime of the NCCU game was fantastic. And the rest of the halftime shows were just as fantastic too! So how those guys concluded we were the 10th best HBCU marching band in the nation beats me.

Good Times lol youtu.be/5ibw75CnBCsI'd take this environment against a Nationally ranked play off Caliber team every year instead of settling the score against MSU and blowing out DSU for the "Culture".

Need to increase the numbers Tubas/Sousaphones ; woodwinds trumpets mellophones too many Euphoniums more Trombones Baritones to enhance the sound

The BGMM's sound in fantastic with the number of instruments we currently have! We are not trying to be loud (and wrong) like some of the SWAC band programs. It's not about out blowing the other band... it's about being the better "musicians!"
