After attending the Celebration Bowl, there is a desire to see Jackson State vs. A&T! I had several conversation about this match-up. The Circle City would be my choice for a site for this match-up to occur. I would not be surprised if sponsors are trying to make this happen.

Interestingly enough, this year's Celebration Bowl was the third most-watched of the Celebration Bowl era.

personally, i don't have a number cuz a&t has far more revenue available to it now than it had the prior 50 years it afforded travel costs in the meac. to me, travel cost savings and students missing class is nothing more than "window dressing", an "excuse" to coverup the "real reason" dr. martin/ad hilton pulled out of the meac. i'm a former aggie athlete, i ran track both indoors and outdoors for 4 years. yes, we "ONCE" traveled to tallahassee, florida but "NOT" to famu, instead it was to florida state for the florida state relays. geesh, if its such a drain on our budget to travel to tallahassee, florida, then why "VOLUNTARILY" do it? so as an "a&t student athlete", i personally have traveled to tallahassee, florida on a bus and it didn't hurt my "academics" one bit! i graduated "with honors", one trip to tallahassee, florida didn't stop me from doing that. and speaking of "missed class time"? i'll guarantee you that most undergrads voluntarily "skip" more classes on the average during any given week than a&t's athletes typically miss due to sports travel...

It's a neutral site that both schools and alumni have familiarization and connections to. In the past, it served us well exposing students from the midwest to our institution.

We have been there before against TSU; also we need FAMU in a classic somewhere to remain relevant as a HBCU per FAMU silly chatter. Personally some of their chatter is over the top somewhat Drumpftian/Trumpian.

The talk is because they're no longer in the category of being the top HBCU, and losing the title to A&T is unacceptable to some of them.

They are not changing the format before the 2027 game is played. And why would they want to change the format…and to what?? Just because the MEAC is kicking the SWAC’s azz in both the Celebration Bowl (5-1) and the MEAC-SWAC Challenge (11-4) is no real reason to consider a change.

But in my estimation, ESPN would want to ensure their bowl game has the most attractive matchups TV-wise. If there's a TV ratings slide in 22 and 23, a change to the format could be warranted. Who knows. 🤷🏿♂️

Who knows. 🤷🏿♂️ I don't think the ratings will slide as long as Deion is at JSU. From a TV standpoint only, the SWAC is the bell cow. They now have four teams that can carry the TV market regardless of the MEAC opponent: JSU, FAMU, Grambling, and Southern. For SCSU, their job is to create a run similar to ours which I think they can do. Hue Jackson and Deion will push each other which will improve the on-the-field product from the SWAC. As far as A&T is concerned, we will continue to create that tension because we will beat any MEAC or SWAC foe we play every year and whoever wins the Celebration Bowl will always get the question of "but could they have beaten A&T?". That question is set up fodder for classic or regular season games against the Celebration Bowl champion. The SCSU game next year will have a different kind of buzz around it. Although they won't admit it, CB champion's victories will be suspect until they beat us. #AggieArrogance
