All these match ups will not amount to squat if we have another awful season like last year! Some of y'all think a few recruits and transfers are going to make us playoff contenders. I'm not that sure. Is everybody convinced we are going to be better in conference play next season? We're going to have to be. Since we apparently have made few changes there is no alternative but to vastly improve the on-field product.

Or a game vs Norfolk in DC in that new stadium.
This goes back to making Our stadium the place to be! Sound Stage ( I know some didnt like it) Kid's zone on the practice field, Phone Charging Tents with giveaways. ect

proves you're a "hypocrite", daytona beach florida is only 1 hour more but yo azz swore that placed too much stress and expense on students and the athletic department. there's no existing meac school that's as far away as pittsburgh and long branch new jersey, but yo azz is perfectly fine with traveling to those locations to rumb shoulders with white folk. no complaints whatsoever from you in that regard, you suddenly have "amnesia"... Sent from my SM-G950U using proboards OSA - Smh. It was stated SEVERAL TIMES that football was basically a wash with the move, meaning no savings because of the travel we would have had to Alabama and NJ. Now that Robert Morris in the BSC and N. Alabama is out, it's still about the same...basically a wash/the same as the MEAC for football. C'mon man. i'm not the one who complains about "travel". it is "hypocritical" to say you're soooooooooooooo concerned about travel but yet is perfectly fine with "travel" to cold azz pittsburgh and long branch, nj. both locations are farther from a&t than "ANY" existing meac school including dsu. i don't recall "anybody" from our administration or otherwise stating that football was basically a wash with the move. when did that happen? hail, football travel is by far the "MOST EXPENSIVE" sport for travel that we sponsor. yet, you're now saying its a wash? heck, i been saying its a wash ever since the announcement was first made that a&t was moving to the bsc. so if football is a wash and we've already got "11" other individual sports teams who create their own schedule "every year" without any travel savings in the bsc, then where are the "significant" travel savings that justified leaving the meac? the only sports that are outside of the "12" that aren't impacted at all are baseball (had divisional play in the meac), softball (had divisional play in the meac), and volleyball (had divisional play in the meac) and all 3 of those sports and basketball have "INEXPENSIVE" travel costs relative to football. and i can tell you with 100% certainty that the vast majority of aggie athletes had much rather travel to "sunny" florida than "cold azz" pittsburgh and new jersey. not to mention there "heavy tolls" to pay in route to new jersey but nobody wants to talk about that...

Here's a question:
What would be the targeted number that would qualify as saving "a lot" on annual travel expenses now that we are in the Big South?
Is $50,000 a year a good number? $100K? Or we expecting to save $200K or more?
I think we need to first agree on an official travel savings goal in order to make sure we aren't moving the goal posts.

2039 EVERYBODY, please allow him to have the last word so the thread doesn’t end up being continue to be yet another pissing match about how he doesn’t care for the new conference. It’s gotten stale. Thanks in advance.

09/03 - vs. NC Central in Charlotte 09/10 - at ND State 09/17 - at Duke (yes, again) 09/24 - SC State 10/01 - BYE 10/08 - at Gardner-Webb 10/15 - Campbell 10/22 - at Robert Morris 10/29 - Hampton (GHOE) 11/05 - Norfolk State 11/12 - Charleston Southern 11/19 - at Monmouth Not bad…jersey in November tho😬🥶 I do agree about playing Hampton at GHOE…not a fan. And the attendance for Norfolk in November depends on the weather and GHOE hangover … band heads will be there. I want a DMV game.

well, if attendance is anything like this past weekend's legacy classic game (a&t vs. howard) at the prudential center in newark, nj, then don't expect a large turnout. especially since monmouth's stadium only seats 4,600 fannies...

Hi OSA, I am not trying to start a back-and-forth. I am scared of you. You are 100% correct. Just like you typed, West Long Branch, NJ and Moon Township, PA are farther than any existing MEAC school. We announced our move to the Big South Conference well before FAMU & BC-U departed for the SWAC. Greensboro to: Moon Township, PA = 429 miles West Long Branch, NJ = 522 miles Daytona Beach, Fl = 563 miles Tallahassee, FL = 634 miles AD Hilton mentioned after the press conference announcing the conference move as well as on an Aggie Pridecast that football travel would be a wash. Again, I appreciate your posts and the alternative point-of-view most of them provide. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

The AD's argument was and still remains frivolous.
