That’s correct. I keep thinking once I’m in the stadium I’m locked in. So, there will be some back and forth going on for me.

My Man! Are you coming East for GHOE this year? Nah. I ain't gon' lie. I came back for the Furman game on Labor Day weekend, but the idea of COVID still makes me a little nervous in a GHOE environment. I keep having nightmares with the Holland bowl and the plots in my head. LOL I'm confident that inside the game zone will be fine with the protocols in place, but by the time I felt more confident, my planning/financial window closed. But rest assured, that ESPN+ will be FIRED UP this weekend!

—— Although I will be inside watching us win. Now if we blow them out, I’ll head to the stage ( with one earbud of the radio feed). For a 90s hip hop head like me this show is bananas and I hate I am going to miss it. Hopefully they will keep that same energy going next year. But why in the world would they have the concert starting DURING the game, especially considering that it is going to be IN the stadium tailgate area. There is already a concern about game day attendance...this is going to make it worse. Much worse. Wait a minute, this is an attempt to improve the game day experience for those that want to mingle and aren't into football. Hopefully more students and young fans will show up. By the way, I personally don't care if they don't come into the stadium just as long as they buy a game ticket. If we are going to increase our game day attendance we have got to expand what we offer.

If we are going to increase our game day attendance we have got to expand what we offer. I could be 100% wrong about this, but I always just assumed that schools that created game day entertainment for fans usually suspended that sponsored entertainment DURING the game. Maybe because the culture is different at PWIs but the main draw on game day at those institutions is the GAME. Everything else is secondary and an added bonus. But I fully acknowledge that the game day experience at HBCUs is different I just think that SUCKS for the athletes who would really appreciate a full stadium of cheering fans as opposed to the fans catching a concert that is simultaneously going on while they are playing. You could actually do both. Use the concert (or other game day events) to draw fans in but hold those events before and after the game. Holding those events during the game is pretty disrespectful to the athletes. Just my two cents.

What’s disrespectful. To the athletes is leaving after the halftime show as a matter of routine. We’ve accepted that as a part of the culture so they may as well have a concert after they leave.

my 2 cents , they should stop the performances while the game is in progress ,it's been mentioned once they come through the first gate it's all good ,but I think at least for this game ,we need all butts inside the stadium for morale support for the team .Imagine if we get in a crucial 3rd down situation on defense, and the announcer calls for "every Aggie in the house to get on your feet and make some noise" ,and aint nobody in the damn stadium ,and everybody's outside jamming . Plus you will be able to hear the concert inside the stadium ,I'm all for spicing the game day experience up but we got to do it the right way .

matter of fact if I was coach I would voice my opinion rather loudly to the AD and the chancellor , look em in the eye and ask "whose side are you on ,are you trying to sabotage me" , "I need all the help I can get,I need my fan support"

I think there is a big difference in people leaving on their own volition because that's what they normally do and people being induced to leave. Now you run the chance of even more folks leaving because we just gave them an alternative entertainment option that is in direct competition with the game itself. As I said before, I am pretty sure that's not how game day entertainment works at other institutions. I mean hell....I'm a HUGE Brand Nubian fan and even I would entertain leaving the game to go see them in concert if its free and right outside on the stadium grounds and I typically never leave before the end of the 4th.

Don't get me started on this subject because it's a real sore spot for me as stated previously on numerous occasions.
Anyone ever wonder if this device could have the opposite effect everyone is thinking. Why couldn't the event draw a few more fans into the game zone, and while there decide to go into stadium for let see uh, football, food, restroom, vendors, etc.
And wouldn't it be funny if instead of Washington griping to the AD about needing all the support he can get, he told all those so called fans that leave after halftime or shoot goes on PA and says "Hey all yall walking around outside tailgating during the game (prior to soundstage), we gotta football game going on in here do you mind coming in and cheering us on. Wonder how many people would raise an eyebrow.
I known I'm built different but man, I don't know sometimes. I'm even trying to make this pivotal volleyball match Friday evening in Buies Creek, I'm sure the team would appreciate the support in a hostile environment.

It’s GHOE Fam. Y’all sound like what you are, “hardcore football fans “. But think about it when YOU were at T”. There were Always things happening at the same time! And, at least I would have to say to myself, “d@nm I’d better get on in the game before it’s over “…( for a seat- before I had a season ticket). Scott Hall, fan-fest, the xyz crew grilling with music, or Sweet Georgia Brown, who is the homegirl from Central…
What you miss is what you miss…

Yall are hilarious. Its 10 to 15k people outside the stadium in the gamezone who never step inside. Now yall want everyone inside the bank lol.
Its always been a sound stage in the tailgate area. Usually its just 90.1. This year is bigger and better entertainment.
Yall asked for more entertainment , A&T has provided

Scheduling the headliner at the start of the 4th quarter is just problematic. Pushing it back one hour solves that problem.

Those 5,000 will stay in the stadium and watch the game till the end like they normally would. The rest will be singing "All for One, and one for all!" LOL
