That's going to be a pretty stout mid-major FBS conference with Coastal, Ga. State, Ga. So, Troy, and App State already there. Throwing JMU, Marshall, and ODU into that mix is going to make for some serious divisional dogfights next year in that league.

i watched app state beat coastal the other night on tv which spoiled coastal's undefeated record. coastal's qb is the next coming of "tom brady", this dude is "unbelievably" accurate as a passer. he's completing almost 80% of his passes for over 250 passing yards per game and has only had 1 int all season long.
man, even i was impressed. but it wasn't enuf to beat app state who has clemson and duke transfer chase brice as their starting qb, he passed for over 345 yards against ccu the other night. it was a great game, can't believe i watched it from beginning to end...

If James Madison leaves the CAA, this could trickle down to the Big South and MEAC. đź‘€

I don't know if you guys are aware of or heard this or not but Elon has been unofficially reviewing their status in the CAA. Main reason? - increasing costs. I guess its tough everywhere even with rich private schools.

The cost of ⛽️ continues to go up

Bro, UNCG is in the southern conference….they aren’t leaving just to travel up and down the east coast

I think Elon's thinking back then was they would make a big splash in CAA, up their RPI in the money sports, and be a regular postseason participant in the football playoffs. Hasn't worked out that way in a conference dominated by JMU, Delaware, Villanova, Rhode Island, and W&M - too top heavy with FCS power programs to even make a dent.

CAA portends to be an academically elite conference. Harvey is probably having a wet dream with all these rumors. My understanding is that is why Elon received an invite. Does Monmouth fit that profile?
