The A&T-Hampton game scheduled for September 17th,reportedly has been moved to Thursday night September 15th so it can be televised nationaly on ESPN. Game time is set for 7:00pm. If this report is true that could have A&T playing 3 games in a span of 10 days. That could make it hard on the team but you can't beat the exposure.

Well, that depends.
Having a tired team get its @ss whupped on national t.v. is not good exposure and a pretty good way to get your coach fired before his contract is up.
We'll already be iffy on the lines and we don't have a settled qb as of yet. Those are two problems Hampton doesn't have. When you add in the ridiculous number of games we have to play in that short time span it could be a recipe for disaster.

Hey at least were not leaving out of the state for these games.
I now think that Hampton is vulnerable after games with Jackson State in Detroit and Howard in DC that they could be a little flat.
Thursday Night action wow that should be a lot of fun

They will be fresh when we see them.

...and we won't.
If you're good, you're good.
But if you're sore and tired, you can't be that good.

Will this game will be on ESPN or ESPNU? They normally have the 1A schools on ESPN Thursday nights. Schools like East Carolina, Louisville, Central Florida and Southern Mississippi make their living on Thursday nights.

What needs to be done to get folks in the seats on a Thursday night? Any special promotions or attractions?

It all depends.
I watched Hampton vs. Norfolk one year on ESPN (yes, ESPN). Hampton won like 42-0 and had no penalties.
It was good for Hampton...
I'm sure any kid that was interested in an HBCU and watched that game knew which school he'd go to immediately. You don't wanna end up on the wrong side of something like that.
Just going by how sloppy we looked in the game (and most others) last year I damn sure wouldn't want to put that on t.v. The Howard game was bad enough.
