I like the moves. Last year was a problem running the ball and rushing the passer ( for the most part). I was sooo pissed at teams going for it on 4th Down. And I got tired of 3 and outs, giving the ball back to the opps, while our defense has to go right back on the field.
If we can get some "Big Stuff Parkers" then I must say I wont be bored with 4 yards and a cloud of dust( with the stead of running backs and a QB keep, or bubble screens for 6 yards and allowing a Lineman tee off on somebody while doing it.
Get this defense back to the times when they were chomping at the bit to get back out on the field after a score. Not to mention Special Teams running back kickoffs and punts.

Trues loves the tall linemen so he should be happy with this news. A commitment from the portal a few hours ago from UT-Chattanooga offensive/defensive lineman Ja'ny Alston (6-7, 270) from Chapel Hill, NC (Jireh Prep, Carboro HS). Alston is a 3-star prep prospect according to 247sports.com and a Dean’s List student and made the Southern Conference Honor Roll. Was redshirted last year and retains 4 years of eligibility. Could play on either side of the ball at A&T but will get a look on offense first. 247sports.com/Player/JaNy-Alston-46094346/Hudl Highlights: www.hudl.com/profile/8713789/JaNy-Alston - . Do not listen to Thrilla they are out there!!! Oh yes now we are talking. Aggie One going to buy you a steak dinner!!!! You got my got dam attention. The weight is perfect 270 nothing but muscle. Yes we going to win the Big south i just need one more!!!!!!!! In spring practice they had JARED crawl-bey at LG 6-6 250. Alston would be perfect as RG 6-7. I can live with that.

Caleb and Xzavier may not be true space eaters, It wouldn't surprise me at all if one or both make it into our interior DT rotation this Fall. Both of them are strong. I can't wait to see them with Coach Ali for a full year. The sky's the limit if they keep working at it.

I too am excited about our offseason player development under Coach Ali. These next few months will be very pivotal.

Will be hard to find this late in the game. If the defensive line coach can coach these freshman we have coming in to max potential, we can shock some people.

STILL looking for TWO experienced (not True Freshmen) 6'3+ and 290+ DTs. I may be out on an island here, however, I think our Defensive Linemen depth will be good, if not great, once we hit the CAA. IMHO, we could be better off by getting these freshmen some playing time, taking lumps in the process if it means they'll be battle-tested going up against Delaware, Richmond, and Villanova.

That's a way to look at it. That said, I want to win the BS and believe we need a couple more experienced and talented DTs to get us there. Along the way, we could get the freshmen some experience. We'll see what happens.
