hopefully this also appears to provide an on campus home for our bowling team. originally we were supposed to have a bowling alley in the new student center but they had to scale things back on the student center due to costs, so the proposed bowling alley got the ax as well as a few other features that was originally planned...

I really hope that the administration or team in charge of this project are looking at what other comparable universities (UNCG, High Point, etc.) Have for their facilities to get ideas...
Also reading the article, some of what is described seems redundant as we built some of these features into the student center and the fitness center beside Moore gym...will those facilities be repurposed once this new center comes online?

I would imagine Athletics could get first dibs on the fitness center beside Moore Gym.

Please quit crying about that darn grass. Everytime we move two steps forward someone brings the grass color up to bring us back 4 steps.
Hell the grass was green the first two games and it will be green this week against N. Alabama.
After this we only have 2 home games left. The grass should be fine and if it ain't so be it because the Administration does not see it as a problem.

SideEye,
Since when is it necessary for A&T to check out High Point and Uncg for ideas? What make you think that they are not getting ideas from A&T?

And why would A&T need help from other "area" institutions to complete this project?

SideEye, Since when is it necessary for A&T to check out High Point and Uncg for ideas? What make you think that they are not getting ideas from A&T? You always look at the work peer institutions did as case studies. When planning the skybox we looked at what schools like App State built and even with this new dorm to go up we were looking at schools like UTEP (?) That already built mixed use housing. High Point has an amazing rec facility and G built a facility recently in their redevelopment of Gate City Blvd. We look at them as case studies to get an idea of what we can expect in terms of amenities, cost, construction issues, but the final result will be tailor fit to meet the needs of our atudents through engagement with the students/staff/faculty on what they want or need the place to have and purpose it will serve...trust if we are this far in the game, a study is being done or has been done already
