They did same thing with volleyball predictions! I have watched several matches and the announces laughed at those predictions and say team will challenge for the title

It's up to us to change the narrative on what our basketball program will be in the Big South....and us only.

Idk why folks are shocked. What has he proven with our MBB program over the past couple of years? We have been mediocre at best, and I am still not convinced that coach Jones has the recipe for success yet. We have to prove it, nothing should be given.

Until we get a legit post presence in ANY conference, the bottom third is where we will dwell. We have to stop getting excited about dudes coming in with 34 inch verticals & dudes who've transferred 3 times in 3 years & hold coaches/admin accountable on fielding a competitive PROGRAM just as alums have done with football.

Jones has not shown that he can coach or even tries to develop big men. I'm not high on his coaching strategy or his style but we will see . But I doubt he is up to the task .

We have tons of talent. The big question is how long will it take for Jones to bring it all together?

too many "newcomers" on this year's roster which means don't expect a "well oiled machine" coming out the blocks. it may be "january" before we start seeing the kind of "chemistry" we need to see, if not a bit longer...

I could see that but the problem last year was we had to many of the same type of players ….What I call twiners…not a true 4 with the height of a small forward but they play the post or the other way around a 4 that wants to be a 3. As example the Jones boys from last years team.
You put Kam, Duncan, Collin Smith, Webster, and so many solid choices to play the 2… You still have enough on the bench to win the MEAC if we where still there.
It may take time to be a cohesive unit but talent wins and they should be well oiled by January. Last year was a bit of miss but let’s not forget Coach Jones took over a struggling Jay Joyner team and ended up having best b-ball team at T in 20+ years. This years team is chalked full of talented athletic athletes with height.
I think Jones has used Duncan Powell as the catalyst to make this a true mid major roster. Points of last year were pretty rough but they may have won the MEAC if not for that shigadee. Me thinks last year Jones was buying time for 2021 and know got a unexpected big man game changer with Collin Smith.
Also think Smith will help Harry and Harry can be what he is good at going forward. Being hear this summer is gone help Harry and help Jones confidence in him as well.
I know we get all excited and that’s part of being an Aggie b-ball fan but anyone that knows b-ball can see we never had this kinda talent

The problem I see how will Coach convince the eventual role players that they are role players? Some kids today have short attention spans and if they don't start right away, they pout or transfer. These kids came here to play and not all of them will get what they want.
I said this about the football team also. The 2-deep roster is on paper is the strongest we've ever had offensively. We won't know about defense until they get on the court.
