Yall throwing my equilibrium off with this thread. This is Furman week.
I know bro just wanted to let everyone know ahead of schedule. I did state that I wasn’t trying to overlook Furman just wanted to Bring some awareness to the group. And how maybe we should do the same at Aggie , I mean Truist stadium.
We can comeback to this after Saturday. See y’all there
Duke defeated A&T 45-13 in 2019. A&T was a MEAC powerhouse then but this is their first season in the Big South, which also is an FCS conference. They lost to Furman of the Southern Conference 29-18 in their opener.
A&T is a proud program, with a history of success at a lower level and in the best tradition of coach-speak, Cutcliffe made them sound like the ‘72 Dolphins. But they lack the resources of Duke or any ACC school. This should be an opportunity to Duke to regain its mojo and turn around the season.
Week Two Game Preview - Duke vs North Carolina A&T
There should be no reason for Duke to lose to North Carolina A&T considering the perceived talent and coaching levels between the two programs. But the Blue Devils should have beaten Charlotte on Saturday, too. Last Vegas hasn't even put a line out for this game, which typically indicates a blowout in the making, but anything can happen with this Duke program that is so used to losing.
Still, it's hard to see how a team that lost to Furman by nine points will be able to notch a win over Duke in their home opener.
Duke vs North Carolina A&T Prediction, Game Preview
Why North Carolina A&T Will Win Wait for it long enough and Duke will screw up.
The Blue Devil defense was hardly special in the 31-28 loss to Charlotte, but a good, tough game should’ve been a Blue Devil win except for all of the big mistakes.
Duke didn’t see a turnover it didn’t like to commit last year, and against the 49ers the two giveaways and -2 turnover margin was a killer.
North Carolina A&T did a decent job against the run in the 29-18 loss to Furman, but …
Why Duke Will Win The Aggies might be able to outdo the Blue Devils when it comes to screwing up.
Two giveaways and ten penalties didn’t help as A&T got down in the first half and had to push to catch up late. Yes, the run defense was statistically fine, but that’s partly because the secondary was torched by Furman’s Hamp Simpson.
Duke won’t have any problems throwing the ball, and as long as they don’t totally mess up there shouldn’t be too much drama.
