Aggie Rattler are you thinking VA State? Yes, I am. I believe that they are seriously building towards that.

Who else are you hearing? I would hate for the conference to fold but I believe we all can agree they MUST do better.

A smart school(s) will decide after the new commissioner is in place for six months.

A smart school(s) will decide after the new commissioner is in place for six months. I see what you mean, but i disagree. I just think it would be a lot smarter for NCCU and Norfolk State to head to the Big South and get in while realignment continues at a rapid pace. Business is business. That's what I would do if I were them.

Has the BS indicated that they are interested in inviting more HBCU schools to join their conference? Remember you have to be invited. Hampton learned that when they attempted to join CAA and was rebuffed.

The MEAC does not need Savings by adding a program ., they can function just fine with the programs at hand . The MEAC just needs to keep the programs they have intact and keep it moving . People are always saying " I would hate to see the conference fold but in the same breath, they are acting like it has . The MEAC is not the first or will it be the last conference to lose programs and not fold . The MEAC will be fine .

Hampton learned that when they attempted to join CAA and was rebuffed. They won't invited anymore HBCU institutions until they have a hole to fill and only if they can't fine a PWI to fill it will they invite another HBCU. Also why would it be in NCCU and Norfolk States best interest to move to the BS other then the AQ in football the BS is not offering much at all in my opinion. Central & Norfolk are in great shape just where they are .

Central & Norfolk are in great shape just where they are . I really would like us all to stop thinking they will add another school just because its an HBCU. Even in the case of our Aggies, we were invited NOT because we are and HBCU but because we were the best available FCS program, which fit the BS profile (proximity, athletics, academics and leadership). A&T just happened to be an HBCU. And yes I do understand If the BS is to expand again I believe they will be looking for best available program, if again it happens to be an HBCU great, I personally just don't see any of the remaining MEAC schools as current viable options. They would probably rather bring in a southern conference or maybe even CAA school that fit the bill. Don't get me wrong if NSU or SCSU was able to join I'd be all for it, but the stability of those institutions and others for that matter in the MEAC have a few red flags.

Reason being about 10 or so years ago the BS over looked inviting D1 HBCU's that showed some lukewarm interest in the BS conference. There only interest now is because of the number of teams that will be leaving the conference and the number of teams that maybe contemplating leaving . Like it or not A&T & Hampton were targeted out of necessity to keep the conference alive and to keep there AQ because there were no other PWI takers that showed interest in being apart of the BS .

Furthermore why waste time vetting someone that has lukewarm interest? Like asking a girl out that is really not into you…y waste the time?
