I may have missed this conversation, but Monmouth was all over that all conference list. Has anyone seen them play? Are they THAT good? Of all the spring FCS football I watched (and it was quite a lot), Monmouth was one of three teams that really stood out to me personally (Sam Houston State and Southeastern Louisiana are the other two). With that being typed, we have to remember that roughly half of the FCS didn't participate in the spring. Also, each school approached spring ball differently with some electing to treat them like enhanced scrimmages. As I have stated often, I am NOT an X's and O's football observer like most on this board. However, Monmouth's line play, running back and special teams are very good. I do question the competition they faced this past spring, though (only 3 games). They doubled up Charleston Southern at home and pummeled Gardner Webb on the road before embarrassing then-ranked Kennesaw State in the de-facto Big South championship game in New Jersey. But...they barely lost to Sam Houston State in the playoffs - the eventual national champion. They will have a bye before traveling to us for GHOE. We play at Hampton the Saturday before GHOE. Having two weeks to prepare for us will be huge for them. I will end by saying that there is a reason why several websites lists our game vs. Monmouth as 'one to watch' in the fall. I am sorry for the lengthy response.

I am sorry but I am not overly impressed with Monmouth. We have played and beaten some good programs. ECU CHARLOTTE KENT ST JACKSONVILLE ST.ALCON ST. APP STATE FAMU. Monmouth is just a good team a respected team but not a feared team. I have them as the 3th hardest team this year mainly because we are at home. I could be wrong but I think this football teamis special. For some reason a favorable light is shining on A&T. Let the light shine on this team. Let's start with the 400 men's bring home the GOLD and the football team take up and keep running. Let's support this team and all the AGGIES teams. AGGIE PRIDE
