I would hold off on going HAM on our band director until we know the entire story.

All jokes aside, I dont think anybody can blame the Machine for taking one week off.
This is probably their most active travel schedule ... ever.

Agreed. Also KSU has a tiny place (8,300) and even with temporary seating it probably isn't going to be much more than that so I suspect lack of seating might have been another issue for their homecoming.

The band isn't going to KSU. I don’t understand how the band doesn’t make a visit to the black high school band capital of the nation. It’s a night game too, it’s only 5 hours away…

If memory serves me, I heard/read somewhere that the BGMM wants to make the trip, but KSU isn't willing to accommodate. Wants the BGMM to send fewer numbers (pep band) as opposed to the 200+ members. It's KSU's homecoming and they're trying to maximize ticket sales.

Not a fraction of the band. They sell it out for sure if our band comes. Our whole band. Their homecoming is not an automatic sellout every year. They have a good band, so it would be a good show. Oh well. Their loss.

When did seating matter? We went somewhere (I think Morgan) and we left Greensboro that morning, got there late, got off the bus, got dressed, marched right on the field for halftime, played Aggie Spirit in the 3rd Qtr and left. I don't remember sitting down at all. LOL

Um, they don't want that smoke! Funny this decision comes out right after the competition videos went up... Perhaps. I also think they might be looking for any kind of "extra" home field advantage they can use which includes not having the BGMM there to help stoke the sizable A&T contingent that will be there ala ECU back in 2018.

That right there. Plus the band will draw bandheads. Doesn’t KSU have a sizeable black student population?
