here in maryland, over 70% of adults have been vaccinated fully or with at least one shot meeting biden's goal of 70% or more by 4th of july. so now in maryland, a lot of the covid restrictions have been lifted and things are "beginning" to go back to normal.
with that said, i began to realize that some of the precautions that were introduced during the covid pandemic might be beneficial to keep "permanently". for example, almost all of the grocery stores up here have "disinfectant spray" and paper towels at the store entrance for customers to wipe down the handle on store carts to disinfect any germs/bacteria. well to me, that's a precaution that should be kept "permanently". it never dawned on me how many "germs" are on those handles until covid kicked in. now, i think that's a practice that should be "permanently".
another precaution that i think should be permanently kept in my opinion is for companies to continue to allow their employees to "work from home". for those of us who live in a major metropolitan area, especially "washington, dc", employees working from home has freed up "rush hour traffic" and traffic in general tremendously. so let's keep that precaution "permanently" as well.
that's 2 covid-19 precautions that were implemented during the pandemic that i hope we keep "permanently". can you think of any others?
