A weird article, why is he looking to kill the MEAC? some dumb statements I understand what you are saying.
But in all honesty, I didn't see where either coach actually said anything negative about the MEAC. I think that the writer implied that in her writing:
"...Washington hopes that this change will bring other historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to the conference, as Hampton intended when it joined in 2018..."
I'd love to know what Washington and Purnty think about the final copy of this article and its statements.

BREAKING NEWS – Tobacco Road Sports Radio to air North Carolina A&T Sports sportscarolinamonthly.com/breaking-news-tobacco-road-sports-radio-to-air-north-carolina-at-sports/Tobacco Road Sports Radio, LLC has reached an agreement to produce and air North Carolina A&T Sports during the 2021-22 season in the Triad, the company announced Friday. The production agreement will include broadcasting the entire A&T Football and Basketball schedules during the 2021-22 academic year, plus production of weekly coaches press conferences and coaches shows for both sports.
Tobacco Road Sports Radio will also produce “Aggie Pride Cast”, a weekly Facebook Watch show hosted by Brian Holloway, Associate Athletic Director for A&T. Aggie Pride Cast will be available via Facebook and YouTube. “I can’t express how excited we are to partner with A&T and provide the Triad with multiple ways to enjoy Aggie athletics,” said Tobacco Road owner/founder Desmond Johnson. “I have assisted the Aggie program over the years with their sports programming and look forward to helping A&T move to yet another level.” A&T moved from the MEAC conference to the Big South conference this year. A&T did not play football in 2020 due to risks associated with Covid-19. The Aggies come into the Big South having won four out of the last five Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) titles. The Aggies are led by Head Coach Sam Washington. Games will air locally on WWBG 1470AM in Guilford County. Online games will be streamed at TobaccoRoadSportsRadio.com. The Aggies open the 2021 season Sept 4th vs Furman with a 2pm kickoff. +1

As I have my alarm set for tomorrow morning to purchase my tickets, I find it funny I'm so concerned about getting my Furman (already have), Charleston Southern and Kennesaw State tickets ASAP. However, not concerned at all about finding a ticket to both Hampton and South Carolina State, coincidence, I think not. Lol

Lol I would not be concerned about a sell out at neither Furman or Kennesaw St. neither one has a track record filling their stadium. In 2019 they hosted Monmouth for the championship and still only filled half the stadium w 8k. Charleston Southern is the worry. I can’t believe that stadium is even allowed at the FCS level. The SC State game which is potential #1 meac and potential #1 big south may be bigger than we expect. Either way it will have more attendance than either of those 3.

hbcugameday.com/2021/08/01/nc-at-ready-to-prove-themselves-in-the-big-south/The Aggies are no longer the literal ‘big dog’ as they were in the MEAC. They come into their inaugural Big South season rated only third in the preseason behind two-time defending champion Monmouth and Kennesaw State. That’s the result of voting in the preseason by Big South head coaches and sports information directors released last week at the league’s media day in Charlotte. The Aggies will also be facing a slew of new opponents. Washington, whose team was scheduled to challenge eight-time FCS champion North Dakota State in the fall of 2020 before the pandemic halted that schedule, is unfazed.

Kennesaw state game is their homecoming and we have a lot of alums in Atlanta…yiu will be standing up the entire time. Their stadium only seats about 10K.

Homecoming is just another date on their schedule. Looking back to 2016, they get in the mid 8k range for the season opener and after that it's around 5-6k for the rest of the season. KSU is growing their "fanbase" but this is a UGA State.
