He runs track and their track is new. What facilities we talking about? LOL. Also, private schools can work money a little different than state supported schools. Ummm... that facility is at least ten years old now. There is no pressbox or restroom facilities in the stadium. As far as money I can tell you firsthand that there is not a lot of money they are working with to move around. And SAU does not do tuition discounts. All that said, Yes, congrats to Coach Jackson. As said earlier, relationships do matter in these decisions. You right, about 10 years but its in wonderful shape still. As far as money and track, they look at an athlete's FASFA possibilities first. After FASFA they give them the best available academic scholarship they can find. That's where private schools have a slight advantage. They can change criteria on scholarships for an athlete or save them for athletes. THEN they offer the rest through athletics. Personally, its not many schools I would recommend St Aug over, but the connection Jackson has with this kid must be super strong.

He didn't mention money, but its a factor somewhere in this, believe me. I know St Aug campus is lacking, but congrats to Bershawn on that one. Thats a major steal for them. I know you not trying to compare our facilities to St Aug that's in the hood. Not to mention I still would go to a Div1 program vs a D2. Thats why I am not hating on your son choosing NCCU because it is a Div 1 program

He did, a waste though 🤷🏾♂️ Him coming to A&T would have done more for the culture but o well "Him coming to A&T would have done more for the CULTURE but o well" explain please . He could be the last piece we need in order to win a Div1 national championship, something no HBCU has ever done. Let’s be honest, no one cares about Div 2…they aren’t competing against the best the nation has to offer. It’s a lot easier to win a Div2 National Championship than at the D1 level.

Last piece ... There are going to be a lot of pieces missing next season ... But I guess he could be a piece in the rebuilding... St Aug has had a lot of Olympic medal winners , so that might be his goal. The quality of D2 track does seemed to have declined since St Aug was running DI programs off the track in 100-400 races If he had to go somewhere else , I am glad it was St Aug instead of Iowa ( like McKiver 44.74 High Point Andrews) or the female sprinter from HP Andrews who went to Ala and ran seconds behind White and Sturgins for her career.

247sports.com/college/ncat/Article/ncat-north-carolina-track-and-field-hbcu-big-south-mccallum-185405348/Carolina Forest High School's T'Mars (TJ) McCallum (Myrtle Beach, SC) has a strong love for running, mathematics and engineering. The 5'8, 165 pound USA Track and Field state champion has been running since the age of six years old. Track and field is his main sport but you could also catch a glimpse of him on the football field. Well those football days are no more and TJ McCallum has committed to run track for the Aggies of North Carolina A&T State University.

From a very in the know source, I understand Leonard Mustari (Hurdler) is in the portal as he came to Wakanda/AggieLand due to our coach (Ross).
