How was the Fan Fest and scrimmage? Fan Fest went well. The actual scrimmage part was short maybe 30 plays. I think the defense will be pretty good and seems to have good depth. Offense not so much. Used 4 QBs and none really stood out but only one, the starter has ever taken a snap in college. We do have one RB who looks like an NFL type player. At least 2 scouts were in camp to look at him this week. Will probably depend on how long the offense keeps the defense on the field. I suspect the defense will need that depth. Of course its really hard to tell when you are playing yourselves, not knowing who is 1st, 2nd and 3rd team. Coach said several players sat out today. Said they would start narrowing the number of players getting reps this week and start focusing on A&T. Still think A&T wins by 2 scores. Can’t wait for Sept 4th. How are ticket sales looking? The visitor parking lot is 90% sold

The visitor parking lot is 90% sold aggie2039- to tell you the truth sales are not looking too good right now. I am going by the schematics on the FU website which may or may not be correct. On the FU side it looks like a little over half of the app 10,000 seats are accounted but not counting the 2 student sections so lets add another 600 and we are right at 6,000. There are no schematics of the app 6,000 seats on the visitors side because it is all general admission so lets take a look at visitors parking. In the south chapel lot which is closest to the stadium 270 of 476 spaces are sold. In the north chapel parking lot only 6 of 315 spaces are sold. Thats 276 cars. Lets say 3-4 peeps per car and that comes up to between 750-1000 on the visitors side. Of course many people probably bought tickets but not parking and will just pay the $10 parking when they arrive which you can do. There is other parking too. Pretty sure you can park behind McAlister auditorium for free. Just a longer walk but not bad. Anyway I’m still hoping for 10k plus as we still have 2 weeks and Im sure there will be some walkup sales the day of the game.

Has anyone received tickets or is it online ticketing? I purchased tickets about 2 weeks ago and the site crashed, however my credit card was still charged.

It's not our home game. If A&T folks don't care to travel to Greenville, SC for this game then so be it. We have no obligation to promote Furman's football attendance. None.

We have an obligation to support our team and ensure the information is pushed. It’s about our players knowing A&T alums will come support them in larger number, this helps with recruiting. This game is 2 hours from Atlanta and 1:30 hours from Charlotte…no reason why those alumni chapters should not be pushing the game and the same with the school. We will agree to disagree

Do other Paladins share that position? We haven’t played since 2019. I honestly don’t know what to expect. Of course everybody knows Jan-Maine Martin, but the rest of the team is a mystery to me.

It stems from the disappointing spring in which FU was picked to win the SoCon then went 3-4 and the offense really struggled which is unfurmanlike. A&T not playng for 2 years could be a factor but who knows. In the end none of us know but the good thing is we will all find out in less than 2 weeks. 😁

I partially agree with you about attendance. I'm hoping enough Aggies show up so our players know we're supporting them. Don't forget, the Blue and Gold Marching Machine will be there, so that will help! Here are a few things impacting our attendance... 1. We always wait until we know if it's going to rain 2. A lot of our fans are waiting to see what going to happen with the Delta virus. 3. We are hesitant to venture on a PWI campus for the first time. 4. It's Labor Day weekend and we're planning to go to the beach or have a barbecue at home.

I’m a part of a lot of circles and that has never been part of any conversation.

It's going to be blazing 🔥 🥵 that time of day in Greenville.
