Furman University is continually monitoring health conditions on campus and in the greater Greenville community to determine what steps are necessary to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and address the risks and uncertainties related to the virus. This Dashboard reflects the most current conditions and will be updated weekly with Furman student and employee data and Greenville County disease data. It's a little early for most folks plus there's still a good deal of apprehension concerning being in large crowds with the variant spiking especially in a no mask, anti-vax state. I wanted to make the drive up as it's only 3 hours away from me but with the way this Delta Variant is going, it's unlikely.  |

I wanted to make the drive up as it's only 3 hours away from me but with the way this Delta Variant is going, it's unlikely. C’mon man. Its outside, wear a mask if you want to. A&T hasn’t played in 2 years. You could catch this thing wherever. Chances of catching it outside are almost non-existent. |

Follow the science - if you wear a mask and are vaccinated in an outside environment is totally fine. However, it will be up to the locals in SC whether we can attend the game or not. If hospitalizations rise to over 100% there elected officials will limit capacity in all likelihood. SC is a red state but Greenville is not so I’m hopeful that people are getting vaxed at higher rate than the state. But if not I am assuming their local leadership is not conservative either so restrictions will be likely. So Apaladin tell your people to get vaccinated, and decrease those hospital numbers. |

FYI Furman installed a new field turf this summer. This obviously will be the first game on it. Its the same turf that the Carolina Panthers intalled at BOA stadium.

We’re close enough to kickoff to get a long range weather forecast which of course is useless and will change 20 times in the next 2 weeks but here it is.
Chance of showers early. High of 83. Not bad.
I will take that right now.

We’re close enough to kickoff to get a long range weather forecast which of course is useless and will change 20 times in the next 2 weeks but here it is. Chance of showers early. High of 83. Not bad. I will take that right now. I was wondering if I was the only one checking the 14 day weather report 😂…. We need the football and weather gods to come to an agreement to have the weather at 85 and partly sunny |

These long range forecast are pretty useless. 🤣 How was the Fan Fest and scrimmage? Fan Fest went well. The actual scrimmage part was short maybe 30 plays. I think the defense will be pretty good and seems to have good depth. Offense not so much. Used 4 QBs and none really stood out but only one, the starter has ever taken a snap in college. We do have one RB who looks like an NFL type player. At least 2 scouts were in camp to look at him this week. Will probably depend on how long the offense keeps the defense on the field. I suspect the defense will need that depth. Of course its really hard to tell when you are playing yourselves, not knowing who is 1st, 2nd and 3rd team. Coach said several players sat out today. Said they would start narrowing the number of players getting reps this week and start focusing on A&T. Still think A&T wins by 2 scores. Can’t wait for Sept 4th. |
