I really enjoyed myself on Saturday at the MEAC Championship. Next Sunday there is another track and field event for the Aggies.
Does anyone have anymore info on this?

Used to be called the Aggie Last Chance meet. The twilight meet is for any athlete trying to better their times prior to the cutoff for NCAA Preliminaries. The preliminaries take the top 48 times for individuals and the top 24 teams for relays in each event. I would expect track athletes from around the area to participate.

Thank you for this information all that makes so much sense. I plan on driving up from Charlotte to support this event. Hopefully by the end of the week they have an events list, who is participating, etc.

Yeah, I remember it was mentioned on the Aggie Pridecast earlier this year about the NCAA DIV III Championship. That is great to hear and hope we get more info about events going on at Aggie Stadium.

FAMU made it as did the missing Coppin Sprinters Qualifier Meets provide athletes with a second chance to obtain the standard , putting them in position to qualify for the regionals provided there times , Jumps and throws are with in the top 10 . It also positions them to qualify as a alternate for Nationals if they are not in the top three coming out of regions . |

SAABMAN , I hope that explanation was not for me. Yes, The sprinters mentioned and the FAMU 400mh were all qualified, they just wanted to run somewhere. In fact , I don't think any of the HBCU D1 athletes who were not already qualified improved their ranking today except Earl Green from NCCU in the 400mh

I would never disrespect you in that manner period. That explanation was for the people that did not understand that the " Aggie Twilight Classic/ Last Chance Meet " was a qualifiers meet not a regular meet in case they didn't know . Hell I say some outlandish things from time to time lol but I know that you are there to either correct me ( relay statement) or back me up LOL . Respect. |
