This is understandable, at JMU he's probably going to see less competition and received promises to see the field sooner.

Happens all the time and we still have a championship program. Just says you're not going to get them all locally, you must make the best of those who want to be there. Obviously, the kid didn't or else he'd accepted the offer.

They have arguably been a top 3 FCS program for the last decade. We've lost at least two players to them this recruiting cycle but a big part of that is that we are offering players now that we would have not even offered in the past, backyard or not. High school players also have their coaches in their ear, even with family connections to A&T, so we have to continue to strengthen relationships with local high school staffs. Quiet as it's kept, there are still two Greensboros and Grimsley is located in the other one. Lots of work to do in that regard. Oh and there's also that "I want to get away from home" factor.

All of those factors are correct but there are 2 other Greensboros that you failed to mention who's relationship with A&T has been Lukewarm at best PAGE and SMITH. Page , Smith and Grimsley as dose the city of Greensboro knows that Dudley has always been to feeder to A&T and nothing much has changed by A&T to change that narrative . Continuing to leave those doors open is inexcusable and may come back to haunt us one day .

I never really get upset when local kids decide to venture from home, sometime these young men need that. With that being said. Best of luck to him. I have faith that coach Gibbs and crew will find great talent else where.

The QB from Southwest Guilford - Joey McGinnis- is a stud too. He just doesn't have any weapons. But that kid has the talent to play D1 football. Finished looking at McGinnis' film from the last two years at Southwest. I agree. He's a very talented QB. He reminds me a lot of Arizona QB Kyler Murray (Oklahoma). So is this guy better than Roseville QB that we made a offer to Aggie Monster thinks he is the next Warren Moon

Didn't say that. But the kid seems to have the kind of QB skill set that we look for in our current style of offense.

Do you think facilities play a factor when a kid chooses an FCS school over another?

Do you think facilities play a factor when a kid chooses an FCS school over another? Particularly if it is James Madison. Most with donations from alumni as noticed by the facility names. Check this out.
