Hey he just became president of BCU in July of 2019! I guess BCU's financial struggles were more than he wanted to deal with.

Among other things, the university was embroiled in a lawsuit over a dormitory project that included a lease with accelerating payments and a final bill of more than $300 million. The school was on probation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
But an increase in annual funding from $4 million to $17 million from the state of Florida in 2020 seemed to alleviate the school's financial issues. SACS lifted B-CU's probation, and the school's Fitch bond rating improved. The dorm lawsuit continues, and tracks back to previous president Edison Jackson's time at the school. Jackson resigned from the school in 2017..."
