Harris, Ph.D., was named the university's sixth chancellor by USC System President Bob Caslen. The decision was announced Friday. Harris, USC Upstate's first-ever minority hired as chancellor, was chosen from a group of four finalists who interviewed at USC Upstate the first week of March. Harris has worked at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta as the senior vice president for institutional advancement since 2014. In this role, he serves on the school's Executive Leadership Team, co-chaired the institution's five-year strategic plan, and was a key member in the development of the school's Leadership Academy. Additionally, he increased fundraising income at the college more than 265 percent over six and a half years. SC State better get it together because this hire just made USC Upstate even more attractive to African American youth. USC upstate has roughly 1800 African American students www.collegefactual.com/colleges/university-of-south-carolina-upstate/student-life/diversity/chart-ethnic-diversity.html

How much of this do you think got to do with last summer's BLM et al protests? A lot of white companies/colleges don't want the "racist" tag currently. Hell, even Godell (who I call Go to Hell)said the whole league was wrong about kneeling. Not that I'm dissin any of the candidates' credentials.
