crazy how some folk think the big south is the next coming of the "acc" as if its such a major step up, but it ain't. i mean, since the bsc was founded the meac has more march madness wins than the big bad bsc...

Agreed....furthermore I think people don’t distinguish between the Southern and Big South Conferences. Ain’t no way I wouldn’t want to go into the Big South without having a seasoned floor general, irrespective of whatever flaws folks wish to highlight he has...

Ya know, it does appear Kam’s been working on his outside shot and it’s been crucial in conference play. I think he’ll do just fine professionally as like as he focuses on that jumper and the charity strike.
He has great court vision and is amazing with the ball in traffic. He can become a K. Irving like scorer with Jason Kidd vision if he keeps at it.
He’s got a really high pro ceiling.

Regarding Kam in the Big South, I think he’d do just fine there. Yes, the conference as a whole is better than the MEAC. We can argue this until the cows come home but OOC records between the MEAC and Big South, along with numerous computer rankings say this is true.
But I digress...
Kam would have something he’d never had at his disposal if he comes back; a player like Duncan Powell to run a pick & roll with. Conversely, Dunc and these incoming freshmen probably never played with a PG as gifted in the passing game as Kam. If he comes back, with a good summer of training together post-pandemic, we’d compete well against the top half of the Big South as we are and did in the MEAC for the past 2 seasons.

Always good to have your captain back with all of these new pieces and freshman coming in. The icing on the cake is that he gets a full offseason to gel and build chemistry, which we didn't have last year.

With the number of finishers we have on paper, it could be another “lob city” year.

With the number of finishers we have on paper, it could be another “lob city” year. its the "on paper" part that scares me. never know what ya gonna get until you see them in clubcorbett. the jones bruthas were very disappointing to me last season, but "on paper" i thought they would've had a major impact...

I agree 100% Ole school on the Jones Boys. Wasted roster space IMO.

I agree. I never thought the Jones boys would be impact players from their film, although I thought Tyler’s maturity would reap more benefits. His game did not fit that “style” of play. He was a half court kinda guy.

I agree. I never thought the Jones boys would be impact players from their film, although I thought Tyler’s maturity would reap more benefits. His game did not fit that “style” of play. He was a half court kinda guy. yeah, in all fairness to the jones bruthas, a part of me was “spoiled” by ron jackson and d. haygood. those guys were pretty difficult to replace, they left a pretty difficult act for the jones bruthas to follow. however, the flip side of the story was that “on paper” i didn’t expect filmore to have the “breakout season” that he had last year. so to me, the emergence of filmore compensated for the disappointment of the jones bruthas. so it works both ways, ya never know what ya gonna get until you see them in clubcorbett...
