I actually think that having our HBCU schedule as "premium content" will enhance the game atmosphere AND increase the attendance at those games. Based on past games against Coastal and Gardner Webb, I expect the Big South games to average around 14K and our HBCU games to average around 18.5K in the Fall. Our HBCU games will all be against more desirable opponents. Maybe from the start you might hit 14k but I doubt it more like 9 or 10k if we are lucky at home . HIU had to find that out the hard way and so will A&T . All grass is not always greener .

Our coach and athletic department wants to win a FCS championship.
You can't do that in the MEAC due to the contractual obligations to the Celebration Bowl.
I don't understand why this is hard for yall to grasp lol

Plus, if you're trying to use Hampton's football attendance as an indicator, your premise is flawed from the start.

Is it the move to the big south? Or would y’all really prefer to stay in the MEAC? I’m going to assume that if you oppose the move to the big south due to lack of HBCU games, that you don’t support A&T going FBS.

I’ve been behind the move to the Big South since first announced . It’s like upgrading a woman . So we moving on from Tiffany Haddish cause the Meac was a joke, now we getting ready to work our way to the prize of A Nia Long , Halle Berry in a few years . I’m ok with that and can’t wait to see how well they do. Ready for the Kennesaw State game already .

Man please stop with that BS about being in the BS will help improve A&T's move to the FBS . A&T's destiny is in there own hands as is the FBS move . I see you have things twisted but that's what happens when you come in late in a conversation. As for my reasons about the move to the BS is simple the BS is not a move up it's just a lateral move to a conference that was in distress nothing more nothing less.

If you don’t want to do that due to some blind loyalty to a conference because it houses HBCUS, I don’t know what to tell you.

It can not be understated just how poorly our school leaders handled our football schedule during this pandemic. We wasted a ton of opportunities. I'm so disappointed we weren't prepared to move on, especially with a possible fcs championship within our sights. The juice of participating in the playoffs would have been worth the squeeze.

We were trying to be too loyal to the MEAC in our last year when they could care less about us this year. In retrospect, we should have left last July and paid the fine.

you don’t support A&T going FBS. absolutely not!! man, this reminds me of the hayes era. there was talk of going fbs back in the hayes days and thank gawd our admins had enough sense not to pull the trigger. i don't think some of ya'll truly realize what it takes to "be successful" at the fbs level. just like during the hayes era, just because our football program has been on the upswing for the last 7 or 8 years, that doesn't mean we have the "resources" to compete at the fbs level. folk look at ccu, app state, and even liberty at the fbs level and figure, if they can do it, then so can we. yet, have any of ya'll looked at the "investments" those schools made in order to compete at the fbs level? we do not have the "financial means" that those schools have. for example, ccu recently renovated their football stadium to add an "upper deck", app state has an indoor practice facility, and liberty has so much money that they've got money coming out of their butt holes. yet, we can't even keep our football stadium "grass green" which would be an absolute "joke" at the fbs level. heck, its even a "joke" at the fcs level. besides, we haven't really proven anything at the fcs level except the capability to be the best fcs hbcu that can occasionally upset "very weak" fbs teams. that doesn't mean we're "fbs ready"...
