It was never about the playoffs for Coach Washington. He just wanted the live game opportunities to evaluate his roster and young talent.

Monmouth and Campbell are probably the two best teams in Big South with a dangerous CSU lurking in the background headed into the long summer and this fall. Will that be the case this fall, I don't know. But although the opponents and styles will be different it's beginning to feel like that the scenario for A&T may not be much different than it was in the MEAC with FAMU and Bethune being our biggest opposition with SCSU just on the cusp.

I hear you, and agree with Monmouth, not so much on Campbell. Haven't they pretty much been middle of the road in the Big South? What do you think about Robert Morris?

Robert Morris has lost a whole bunch of talent the past few seasons.

The Campbell I saw this past fall against four straight FBS opponents held their own in 3 of the 4 games. They have several players from Georgia that are ballers. They are coached by retired NFL player & former Carolina Panther Mike Minter who seems to be doing an outstanding job. I'm not ready to crown them Big South champs for this upcoming season but they will almost certainly be in the mix, I think.
