On a different note...it sucks to be sitting at home and watching these schools play football. Currently watching Jackson state and Edward Waters. Plus seeing fans with there mask on

As I'm sitting here frustratingly watching Jax State vs EWC I can't help but feel we blew a golden opportunity. Still can't believe we weren't prepared for the MEAC spring plans to collapse?

I agree 100 percent, playing Sunday at 1pm is a prime time. For those that don’t like basketball all eyes will be on college football.

How did Furman look? I see Jackson State looked like the Kansas City Chiefs against Edward Waters...however, I do recognize they have a lot of talent. I will keep an eye on them. FAMU vs. Jackson State might be worth making a vacation trip...should be interesting.

The issue was that Edward Waters is an NAIA school...2 levels below JSU. It was a glorified practice for JSU.

FAMU vs. Jackson State might be worth making a vacation trip...should be interesting. I'll be the first to say that I have an untrained eye when it comes to football plays, strategy and schemes. With that being typed, Furman had two big HOGS on the OL -- one of which was very agile & quick. They had three RB's that got touches and all ran decently against the WCU defense. Their QB was so-so. I know it was Furman's first game but their QB threw a BAD pick in the 1st quarter. But, he's a decent runner that knows how to slide to avoid being tackled. They have a few good athletes on defense mainly in the secondary. Personally speaking, I knew that they would have a few minority players but was surprised to see so many of 'us'. My ignorance - after all, they ARE located in SC! I also did not know that they played on artificial turf/field turf or whatever it was. It's waaaay too early to predict but, if covid-19 lets us play them during Labor Day weekend, it should be a competitive game.
