When I met with Rico he sounded pretty confident that he would earn the starting job this season.

Good interview Thrilla! I really hope that Rico can have an impact this year. I admire his maturity and he clearly has his priorities in order. Schoolfield has a ton of talent at the QB position....let's hope that he utilizes it!

Definitely. Rico came across as a very genuine, mature and good-natured person. He also seemed to have a great deal of respect for Brick McNeil. That was probably the biggest surprise. I thought he was gonna take the opportunity to bash Brick since he was demoted to 2nd string last year, but he really acts like Mcneil taught him a lot about the game of football.

Yeah, you did ask some loaded questions! He coulda bashed if he wanted to with those questions! Great interview!

I don't think that's part of his personality. he strikes me as a team guy who is willing to put his team on his back if that is what it takes to win but he doesn't need the adjulation or see his name in the paper every week. A real leader, and the perfect kind of guy we need to run this new offense.

I think now that you have a new OC. He will be more open minded about starting RICO. You know he was the best QB out there.
